I have never been able to achieve colors this true and dark until now. I just made red, white and blue cupcakes with awesome results. Just follow the formulas included in the kit. It uses different amounts than the old gel colors. I'm guessing that those who posted negative results didn't use the correct amounts of the colors or the right combination of colors. The kit is essential!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is the best color set I've used. The mixing guide makes it easy to make the perfect color. The colors don't water down the icing, either. I'm not opposed to trying other bands or styles, but this has made my icing coloring process so easy. The package keeps all the colors together, and I've gotten a lot of use out of one bottle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it once for royal icing.  I'm satisfied with it so far.  The colors were vibrant and bold without leaving a taste.

Worked well

I got a chance to use this over the holiday on both cookie dough (butter cookies put through the wilton cookie press) as well as royal icing for decorating. I had to improvise a bit because I didn't need so many drops in the amount I was coloring but the end results were great!

Beautiful Colors

I bought this just a couple of weeks ago, and I'm so happy I did. The color selections are amazing and allow me to get creative. My nephew's favorite color is blue so I made his favorite vanilla cupcakes with a buttercream frosting tinted blue. He was thrilled. Thank you for such a wonderful product!!

Beautiful colors.

I heard about this through Wilton on Instagram! And was excited when Color Right arrived.after being ordered. I bought is specifically for the perfect blue color I wanted for my sister-in-law's baby shower cake. I did a practice run and was ecstatic when I got the outcome I was looking for! Thank you!

Easy to use

This product is easy to use, works great, takes the guess work out of creating the "right" color, while maintaining the stability of the icing! I needed to make a bright blue, and was able to obtain the "right blue", and also match it to the Wilton blue fondant.

No More Guess Work!

I bought this set to use for my daughter's birthday cake. I didn't open it until the day before when I was decorating the cake and it came with 2 crimson bottles and NO PINK. My daughter's favourite colour is pink! The colours are great but this slip up is awful.

Incomplete set

I used red and black for a plaid/lumberjack theme birthday party. I couldn't get the right colors that I needed. I put so much red color into my buttercream that the consistency changed and was too thin to pipe and keep its shape. I remade my buttercream with the red, but I wasn't satisfied with the color. It was too pink for my liking. The black color was very watery and made my buttercream look grainy.

Not Pleased

I bought this system thinking it would be great for me because I have a not so good habit of shorting myself on a color or two of icing:/, However after using it and tasting the cake and icing, the bitterness was unmistakable. It reminded me of when I first started making cakes and got a taste of black, red or any other dark color icing that was made to use immediately. I too will go back to the gel colors and allow the color to develop. The time needed is worth it.
