As a whole, I'm very satisfied with this take, it owes a very good job, it's very easy to to use, my only complaint is the design of the rake lift handle, it needs modification to grab the handle to lift the rake for emptying debris,, but it works very well better than my expectations.

Positive feedback.

Excellent rake, also use for leaves and dethaching , highley recommend. Takes a little time to put together (about an hour)

Pine straw Rake

We recently had a large part of our property cleared of invasive bushes. Now there are sticks everywhere, which was my reason for buying this. My mister put it together and said the instructions were not specific enough. It's pretty solid and well-made. When I used it, I found it worked pretty good, but I had to make many passes over the same areas. I was losing a lot as I went—much like trying to brush my Pyrenees with a full brush…it just stops grabbing, though the rake would only be full on the end, about 1/8th up the length of the tines. I was getting a lot of thin stuff with some sticks mixed in. I may need a bit more weight on it, we'll see. But I was able to cut most of the grass/new bushes sprouting up without too much wood going through the mower blades. 
I still had to dismount the tractor to clear the tines most of the time, as the sticks would get lodged pretty good in them. But still much better than doing this project by hand or with the DIY version I have. 
Overall, it works much better than picking up the sticks by hand—which would probably take weeks—but it's still a bit of work with the repeated passes.

Best tool I've been able to find   afford 4the job

The installation took about an hour and you will need two people to assemble the tunes, you'll need a socket wrench and vice grips.  Tires need to be inflated to 30 lbs.  once assembled I hooked the rake to my lawn tractor.  Leaves pass between the tunes.  Twigs and branches are caught in the Tyne drag for the most part.  I plan to zip tie some chicken wire to the lower part of the tynes so the drag will catch everything, leaves and tree debris, pine ones etc.

I have revised the handle to hold the tynes to the ground.  It is very difficult to operate from the seat of my mower but at least it now rakes something.  Not enough pieces to get the handle in the position I would like so I need a few trips to the hardware store. 
 Very well built.   Wasn't designed to rake pine straw as the tynes just skipped over it.  The whole thing needs to be thought through.  Somewhat expensive for this level of engineering.

Good idea.  Not an effective rake.

It works semi well for pine straw.  It scraps over everything else.  With modifications this can be a good product.  Though it's sturdy, it's too light to rake up other items like twigs and branches.  You need to add weights to it to keep it from skipping over debris that you want to pick up.  I added bricks with zip ties for weight.  I also added chicken wire across the tines and secured it with zip ties to prevent items from slipping through the tines.  It's very time consuming to assemble this product when doing it by yourself.  Can cut the time in half if you have someone helping you.  Insufficient parts are  mentioned in other reviews and I thought that my experience would be different but it wasn't.  I was short a couple of nuts and bolts.  Fortunately I was able to operate the product without the nuts and bolts by spreading out the existing ones until others were sent.  This would've been EXTREMELY frustrating after investing so much time and energy into assembly only to get to the end and learn that you don't have enough parts to finish and operate the product.

Good Tool With Modifications

This is heavy (weight) but the tines are not as sturdy as they need to be.  I have to put cement slab bricks on top of the tines to make it heavier.   This way, it picks up more pine straw.  I still have to go over the area -3 times to get all the pine straw.  But still better than raking by hand.  I'm a 56yr old female and was able to put it together by myself!

Not happy at all. Rake came without tongue. Contacted company which said they didn't have tongue it stock. It's been over a week and no tongue yet. I bought this because I needed it now. It appears company knew there were missing. Not happy at all!
