I was actually looking for apple pie but the search results basically showed every kind of pie. I'd never heard of a Lemon Shortbread pie before but it looked good so I decided to choose this instead of apple. 

There is nothing wrong with the apple pie but I'm really glad I chose this pie. It's my new favourite! The flavours blend surprisingly well and I'd totally trade a meringue topping for the shortbread crust. Lemon meringue used to be my favourite pie but not anymore! 

I did find this pie quite rich so for me it's best in a smaller portion. However, I still didn't want to share this pie with anyone! The only negative is how easily it can fall apart but that's not a serious enough flaw to remove any stars. if you enjoy lemon meringue pie, and like shortbread, you'll very likely enjoy this too. If not, someone else in your household will. If not, you'd surely win over a guest if you serve this pie. it's great to bring for a potluck too. But if you tell everyone you made it, don't tell Walmart! This is easily the best product in the Your Fresh Market family.

I love both lemon meringue pie (^~^) and shortbread cookies (^-^), so the combination of the two peaked my interest.
It was a bit sweeter than I was expecting, but it was so good that a week later I bought another one and then a third one a week after that.

Lemon shortcake pie

This is a lovely lemon pie. The shortbread crumble topping is a nice change from meringue. Took to a family dinner and they thought it was home made.
