Had it a month seems to be good a nice cheap supplement if you don't have the money for $500 box spring it's not to cushion any but be honest get the box spring it's buildable so it fits through a hole the size of a 6 inch by 6 inch window so you can bring it in doorways and around corners that bed frames normally don't fit this is why I seeked a buildable bed frame as where I live I had to get rid of my old one as I couldn't bring it in but other then that ask me in a few years very fast shipping

Best cheap alternative to a box spring

The new Queen set i had ordered (from a local mattress store) could not be fully delivered because the Queen sized springbox couldn't be squeezed up the stairs that were just a tad too narrow and the ceiling too low for the box. Had the same problem at my last apartment so opted to shop for a foldable one.

The Zinus mattress foundation appeared while I was looking at a foldable model that was much costlier; I have to have a 9" base as my mattress is orthopedic and you need at least 8" to properly support orthopedic mattresses.

This Zinus model isn't foldable but rather "buildable". It arrives in numbered pieces you align then put together (very important to follow instructions step by step), and a zippered padded cover that is washable, and actually surprisingly good quality and pretty. Although it took about an hour to put together (nothing complex, just need to take the time and properly align numbers on each piece before tightening bolts), it looks quite sturdy and has been holding up so far with no signs of wearing too fast. Purposely kept all the numbered stickers on the pieces and guide as this will be much simpler for when the next time I need to move; all I'll need is to unzip the cover, undo everything, pack, and rebuild at the new place.

What's good about this Zinus buildable box is that I'll only need to replace my mattress next time without the springbox, and without worrying if they will be able to squeeze it through narrow stairs.

Perfect for moving & narrow building stairs

This spring box is quite good once you finished putting it together, sturdy and very durable material, steel. But to build this spring box required me a lot of phisical effort. One of the steel pieces that I got in my package was about half centimeter shorter than it would have to be. So it didn't quite fit the other steel piece that it was supposed to fit. This required me to brute force it so it would fit, I had to ask for a friend help as well and it was super tiring. And if I didn't live with a friend I would most likely not be able to to do it( we are both men by the way, and not weak ones). So all in all its pretty good but only if you receive the steel pieces as their intended size
