Stalk Condition

We have our groceries delivered but whoever chooses the asparagus for our orders does a *fabulous* job.  Because each stalk is perfect.  No hard and woody bits at the ends and each bunch has been *really* fresh.  We've been getting it once a week for about six weeks now, and each and every time it's been terrific.

Great.

Asparagus....so far I  have no complaints about the freshness. Bacon wrapped aparagus with salmon is a family fav. Chicken wrapped asparagus is another.

I got them on may 20 2021. These were really good. Firm and fresh and delicious! It's in season right now! I like to get in at least one feast of Asparagus a year min. :) Funny as a kid I hated it but then again my Mother used to over cook it and it went mushy.

Threw out the asparagus as the tips went bad. Normally it's still very fresh so I don't know why it went bad. I don't have a picture because I threw it in the strata  food  garbage container.

these stalks are huge!! only 6 or 7 stalks in the whole bunch!!  never seen asparagus like this ....
