Love these! I gor the Sirens Call and Blue Lagoon. Havent done much with BL other than some swatches, but the colors are lovely. I really dig that you can use a lighter hand with these, still get a subtle soft prismatic highlight rather than glittery face. I really love the Sirens Call, and I can quick swish these colors together with a fluffy brush, barely touch it to my high areas, buff and soften and it has the potential to look natural and glowy rather than holy hiighlight extremis.

I purchased this online and got it in the mail yesterday. I purchased "Blue Lagoon" and while the color box made it look like a more unusual color, the highlight is very soft and pretty. You can build it up too which is nice. It is NOT holographic, and I didn't really notice a duo-chrome effect either, but both colors are iridescent. Im very pleased with this purchase.

Not holographic, but beautiful nonetheless...

The duo that I purchased is Mermaid Tail. First off, the amount of powder that you get on each side, of the compact is not a whole lot. Second, the pressed powder duo in this compact upon first glance don't look holographic at all. So, do not be surprised by this, okay. However, upon applying them, they do give off a highlighted effect to the face, but not in any type of very holographic or super shimmery way at all. However, I sorta was expecting that, based upon the pictures offered of these highlighter duos. Which is why, their not being 100% holographic isn't something that will keep me from stopping what I already bought and even getting more. As, I actually happen to really like this product a whole lot, as the colors are super wearable and do not come off chalky or garish on ones face in any way. Also, it can be used in a variety of ways on ones face as well, which is definitely a huge plus! Overall, this product is really nice to have in ones makeup collection for sure, for doing glam looks with, whether day or night, because it's not something that is way over the top at all! It really adds that extra pop of iridescent glow to ones face that looks very pretty indeed!

It's not holographic, but I still love it a lot!

Received the Highlighter Duo in "Siren's Call". Beautiful, buildable glow in subtle peach or lighter golden color. I really like the versatility of applying varying shades of sheen from the same palette. It is a long wearing product and lasts all day.

Pretty Glow

I use this alot more than I thought I would.  Very subtle highlight, can't see then the light hits and wow!  Bought the green blue combo, very nice.  Can look chalky with too much (easily remedied with a little face powder and/or blending brush) but the feel is very smooth almost silky. Very nice for a touch of glamour!

Subtle!

I bought Siren's call and it's a perfect warm highlight for my skin. it doesn't look strikingly unnatural and applies beautifully with a highlight blush. Usually I swirl the two colors together but the lighter one is also great to use alone as an inner corner highlight, and both can easily be incorporated into eye looks. The packaging is also very high quality and it's nice to have a mirror in the compact. I hope this isn't being discontinued!

best powder highlight

I love it! Both sides give a beautiful sheen without looking overly blingy or glittery. It stays where I put it, and doesn't fade away or drift down like some other highlighters in my collection. The cases have a mirror, feel sturdy, and close securely. At .32 oz., it will probably last almost forever.

So beautiful, and stays where I put it.

I like this! It is pretty powdery and does remind me of smarties (like that one other person said :) ) but it doesn't look like how it looks in the pan on my skin. I like putting the green on my eyes, I think it looks really pretty. I do that with the purple as well although I use that as a highlight as well. I hope these highlights end up on the page with the rest of the highlighters again. I was looking through it and I didn't see it, I had to look it up. I hope they get restocked as well. I love the green and I wanna try the pink one in Mermaid Tail. I do wish it was just a tad cheaper, either by a dollar or a dollar and a half. You also do have to work at it a tad to get it on your skin, but I don't mind, it makes it buildable which I like.

Blue Lagoon

I bought this around the holidays last winter to add a little shine to my makeup looks. The photos showed a very bright holographic look. It was a little more than the item's I usually pick up but I decided to splurge and go for it. The shade I got was blue lagoon. 

It's extremely chalky, it doesn't shine at all and even after I tried about 15 layers on my arm I could not get it to shine or swatch anywhere near the promotional photos. It just looked like I put ashes ontop of my blush or foundation. Maybe I'm too pale for it to show up? Either way, it's one of the only products from ELF I haven't been happy with.

not holographic like shown

Bought this a bit back. I have extremely fair skin (I have to mix the lightest Kat Von D lock it foundation with some white) and was excited for blue lagoon. However, it's very subtle and getting swatches like in the picture is impossible. It comes off a bit chalky which is especially bad for the blue lagoon choice. The packaging is good, it feels smooth, but looks like crushed up smarties on my face. 

Overall, I regret the purchase, but accept that I did make a mistake with my color choice.

Not what I expected

I've tried time and time again to make this work to no avail. Barely visible, no pigment, doesn't get picked up by my brush, and not even my finger can pick up enough to be visible on my face. And it's far too expensive for what it is.
