Like the wider leash.  This is great for my dog as she likes to run around as we are walking.  The retractable leash allows her space but she cannot run off.

Great leash!

This was a very useful purchase, better than I expected. I was a little leary of how well it would hold up with my very stubborn and strong pitbull, but it provided quite well when we were on a walk and two dogs approached us and one became aggressive and this leash held up very well I was able to keep my dog at my side no matter how hard he pulled!!

Tested True

The dog was still attached to it when we arrived back home after our walk. It extended and retracted without issue and was strong enough to not break when my 60 pound dog went charging after a running squirrel.  With that said, I'm happy, would recommend as it did exactly as it was intended.

Bought this to replace a cheap store brand retractable leash.  This is much better quality and almost the same price!  Seems like a very good deal.  I don't use it for regular walks though, a regular leash is usually safer!  I use it mostly when xc skiing and I need more length for the dog to stay clear of my skis. (attach handle to belt for this)

Good quality at a good price

I have used the same flexi leash for fourteen years!
(2 large dogs over that time). I ordered the flexi Retractable Dog Leash just to have an extra leash. 
I trust flexi brand leashes due to the great experience over the years that I have had with it!
It's the best leash and I definitely recommend it!

The best leash ever!

The Flexi is the only retractable leash I will ever buy. I have never had any luck at all with the longevity of competing brands, regardless of price, but I have owned one of my Flexi leashes for over a decade and it is still going strong. 
The only reason I stopped using it is I very much prefer the tape version to the cord version and I urge you to make the same choice. The few dollars extra it costs for the flat tape leash makes for a much smoother working retracting mechanism. 
Note: I don't know if this contributes to how long my Flexis lash -- but I suspect the inner workings may not be rust proof. For that reason, if I have walked the dogs in the rain, I pull the leash all the way out when I get home, lock it, and hang it up to dry before retracting it.

Flexis are great but buy TAPE not Cord

While not the cheapest, this is the original retractable leash and is very reliable. My problem has been keeping the tape from becoming a chew. Again my problem not the leash problem.

Great Leash - Not Chew

My last one used for 10 years and was still good. It was taken off at the Vet when I regrettably put her down. She had Valley fever for many years. Vet said they couldn't find it. Too bad, I would have licked to see how long it would have lasted. We walked twice a day for almost 14 years 10 of which was with the Flexi leash. (Not the cord line model, the 1/2 wide line leash model.)

Worked great for me.

Extends and retracts smoothly. It would be nice, however, if they engineered it so that you could replace the tape or cord. My dog has repeatedly chewed through the tape on several retractable leashes, meaning that I have to buy a whole new leash instead of just replacing the tape. Gets to be expensive.

Good Product

My dog just had 19 stitches because of this leash. Ive had retractable leashes for my dog for over 15 years and never have they been hurt like this.

Dont buy! Serious hazard.
