I absolutely LOVE these George stay-ups! I've been looking for stay-ups to wear underneath my skirts/dresses for everyday wear and these are perfect and highly affordable!

The 'band' at the top to hold them up is designed to look like a pretty, lace style (see picture on front of box near the top of the thigh) and the inside has some type of 'sticky/'waxy' film to stick to your skin when you pull them up over your thighs to stay there. It doesn't rub off on your skin and you just need to peel them back lightly in order to remove your stockings. I did read a review somewhere about being careful in washing these stockings and to make sure to NOT wash the inside area of the lace in order to preserve the 'film' to last longer. Bear in mind that due to the price you are paying (much more affordable than other stay-ups out there), the seaming on the lace area does NOT look as great as actual lingerie stockings. It does NOT bother me because the seaming looks strong and holds the stay-ups up very well, but if you're picky on the details of the linings, you'll notice that it looks like the inside lining of a pair of soft, thick, stocking-like leggings flipped inside out. Only on the lace area. Then again, if you're trying to impress your man, I would buy the actual expensive lingerie and leave the stay-ups for work purposes/professional functions only in which the lace area will not be exposed (which is what I bought them for - for work and not the bedroom. Although you can use them in the bedroom or for party functions or just to make an outfit look sexy. Nothing wrong with that either).

As for the colours, I bought these stay-ups in both the available black and nude colours and love them! The black looks great and the nude is an amazing shade of light nude colour - almost blending in with my natural, beige skin colour. In fact, when I wore them on my legs and compared them to my bare neck and arms, my natural skin colour was only about one shade darker than the stockings. It was interesting. 

I have no complaints about these stay-ups so far (will update if something goes wrong), but I can see how some people might have an issue with the SIZING. Looking at the back of the box where the sizing chart is located, I initially got the 'B' size (indicated on the front of the box in a little white square on the top, right-hand corner) because it said a 'B' size fits someone from 5'2''-5'5'' and 110-145lbs. I am only 5'' so I thought this would be great for me. I took it home, tried it on, and realized that even though the stay-ups were still 'thigh-high' (and over-the-knee) as promised, the very top of the stay-ups just BARELY reached the tip of skirts/dresses, meaning the lace area was completely EXPOSED! This was NOT the look I was going for - completely inappropriate for work and going out in public. This would be more suitable for hitting the club scenes or looking sexy for a hot date night or a high-end, social, fashionable function where lingerie-type stockings exposure would be appropriate).

So I read a review somewhere that if you want the stay-ups to actually reach higher and closer to your panties, you would need to go ONE SIZE UP.

So off I went back to do an exchange for a 'C' size. ('C' size is meant for 5'5''-5'8'' and 145-170lbs). Took them home, tried them on, and now they're perfect! (And I'm 5'0''). My skirts/dresses completely COVER the lace area and you just see the stocking part! 

Hope this review was helpful! I'm not sure how they will fit for someone taller than since I already had to use a 'C' size, but it will likely depend on your body shape, the purpose of wearing stockings, and so forth. Will definitely be purchasing these again if all goes well!

Had to go up a size, but otherwise perfect!

These stockings are way more comfortable and and last way longer than the secret brand at half the cost . Would recommend buying a size up though. Have both black and nude colors and they look great.

I bought these hold ups in night shade C size.
I am 5 foot 8 the C is stretch to the max but still reach the top of my thigh.
I could wear them 3 times before they start having snags, very good for the price.
Yes with a mini skirt the lacy top is showing, but men find it very sexy...
