Best fresh, I chop and put the ginger in ice cube trays in the freezer to keep fresh longer and ginger freezes great and lasts a long time for easy access to fresh ginger.

It was my first time buying ginger and I was surprised by the beautiful flavour and size of the item for only .73c. Shave a bit of it into a stir fry sauce for aroma and taste.

Gigantic fresh ginger

[Employee of walmartcanada] The ginger was fresh, firm, and had a strong, clean aroma. Easy to peel and great for cooking or tea. No signs of mold or dryness. Good quality overall and consistent with expectations. Would purchase again.

Fresh and High Quality Ginger

I wanted a LOT of ginger and that's what I got: big roots, fresh, easy to peal.  I'll have a half-dozen jars of ginger marmalade and several cups of candied ginger done up in no time.  A cautionary tale, though: if you want only a nob or two for the occasional stir-fry or curry, you may receive more than you need or want in your order.  But hey! it's really good ginger!

Just what I wanted

The ginger, although looks okay, after I cut open, the strange smell is so bad. I have to discard half of my order.

the quality of ginger is not good

Please do keep better quality ginger. The ginger I received is moldy and weird. I request Walmart to get better quality ginger.

I received. Skinny little fingers, the pieces I would normally throw away. By the time I peel it there is nothing left. Please be sure there is always a nice size palm.  Thank you!

I was given 48 g of ginger, much lower than the quantity mentioned online that would be provided, which was 120-150 g. Seriously, what is the point of giving such a small piece of ginger? It’ll be over in 3 days.

A laughable quantity of ginger

They were all rotten. They were from the reduced rack. As soon as i opened the plastic bag, really bad smell started coming out. When i took all the pieces out, they kind of orange and smelled bad. All went in the compost. You should NOT sell rotting food, even on the reduced rack. It wasn't free. I basically threw those $3 in the compost.
