Texture is too fine, lacking characteristic steel cut feel.

This Steel Cut Oats is easy to make. I have a bowl each morning as part of my diet to help me start my busy day. I like to add a touch of cinnamon and a teaspoon of brown sugar.

I like the convenience of the short cooking times, but I prefer the texture of the regular steel cut oats.  These are cut finer to shorten the cooking time, so the resulting oatmeal is a bit mushy.  I compared the nutritional value to the regular steel cut oats and they were the same, so the texture is really the deciding point for me.

I bought this a few days ago and opened last night. The product almost looks like stuff that they swept off the floor and forgot to throw in the trash. I cooked some and it tastes awful. I do not reccomend anyone buying this product. These definitely are NOT steel cut.
