I had never before used a Spackle or primer before applying make-up, so I decided to try it.  Now, I cannot compare products because this was my  first time buying a primer, but I can tell you that I have only had this product and used it for about a week and I am already planning to order it again.   It is in a gel form that goes onto the face like silk.  My skin  really soaked it in, so do not think that the slightly oily feeling all over your face is going to  stay that way.  It really does make my make-up go on smoother, more evenly  and my make-up stays looking fresh and nice longer.  I chose this brand only because the price fit my bbudget better but it is a wonderful product that works, I imagine, just as well as another.

I have tried every oil control, matte primer on the market and this is the only one that even without a setting spray that keeps my severely oily Tzone looking like a natural finish (Dewey not greasy). Most days I have combination skin and this doesn't over dry the normal areas (what kind of sorcery is this🤔) If you're tired of looking like an oil slick within a few hrs and don't want to use a ton of powder, repeat, blotting paper try this. of course it won't be magic for everyone but for the price it should absolutely be one of the first trys.

Only primer that controls my oily T-zone

I purchased this product for my son, and he tells me EVERY DAY that it feels good when he applies it and that it works very well.  Because of the economy we haven't been able to buy the “Big Name Brand” of cosmetics that we used to buy, but THIS product works great and is affordable on my budget.   I'm going to check other products Hard Candy offers.  Thank you so much!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "This primer is the best.  Other much more expensive items do not compare.  I like the soothing, smoothing texture of the clear gel.  Others that I have tried do not have the flow-on smooth feel.  It makes the base just glide on.  Theirs is more of a ""cream"".I"

It's not the same thing I use to use . Took sometime to accept that it was not the same . But compared to other primers I've tried it is best one I've found so far .

I bought this because some friends convinced me that I needed this. I was really hesitant on buying it because I have hated pretty much every Hard Candy product that isn't nail polish. (For those who don't know Hard Candy used to be a high end brand that pretty much sold nail polish) With all of that said, this stuff is awesome. I have combo oily skin and it works great for me. As much as most drugstore brands have stepped up their game, I hope Hard Candy does as well.

If you're looking for a product to eliminate transfer and you don't have the money for MILK, I'd say buy this one. It's not as good, but it's darn sure close for the price. I tested it after putting it on without a lot of moisturizer and it worked. There was no makeup on the napkin. So I'd say buy! Smell is ok and the consistency is a bit thick yet watery.

i like the feel until it sets then it seems sticky and as you put ypur foundation over it it makes crumbles and comes off. Im not as satisfied as i had hoped.

While it feels good, I don't notice that it fills in wrinkles much like other primers. Since I'm 56-I probably need a higher priced thicker primer at this point lol

Smooth finish

This was the clear liquid.  I prefer the lotion looking kind better.  It still works, but to me not as well.  Plus it takes longer to dry before applying foundation
