Has a robust build to hold a decent amount of weight.

You get what you pay for. For the price, it's a great bookshelf. I needed a bigger one than what we had for all my kids books and didn't want to spend a fortune so this is what I got. It works exactly as intended and was easy to put together. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow.

I really love this shelf, it surprised me of how strong and sturdy it is because I got it on sale so I wasn't expecting such a strong quality of wood. The instructions were nice and clear able to understand. It probably took me about 40mins to assemble but I'm a girl and I did it by myself.

Love it

I was looking for longer cabinet shelf and they were so expensive on Amazon and Walmart .. I found these and decided to add 3 of them at together to make one long shelf and actually surprised ! At $28 each ya can't beat it !! We love it!!! Easy to assemble. All hardware included and no damage to any pieces!  Will purchase again for other rooms of the house if we want to do this again!

Love these !

Assembly was simple and quick. I'm a bit slow, but I still finished within 30–40 minutes. The bookshelf feels sturdy, and the color looks great. For the price, the quality is  good.

One thing to note is that the back cover panel is made of thin cardboard. This actually worked out well for me because I wanted to create a hole for outlets behind the bookshelf, and it didn't come with one pre-cut. For reference, the color I purchased was Rustic Oak.

Good quality for the price

I love these shelves, I bought all white ones. They are sturdy and inexpensive. I use them underneath my tvs, for dvds, books, baskets, plants, and decor.
I have a total of twelve that I use in my livingroom and bedrooms. 
Just don't place any moist cups on them or the surface will permanently bubble up.

Easy to assemble and looks nice

This is my second bookcase from this line and I'm just as happy with it as the first. I already have the black version in my living room, and grabbed this white one for my office/bedroom. The quality is consistent across both.
Why I came back for another:
•  Reliable quality: Assembly is straightforward — took me under 20 minutes solo. No missing parts, no confusing instructions.
•  Looks great: The clean white finish is perfect for my office, just like the black one elevates my living room. It doesn't look cheap at all.
•  Surprisingly sturdy: Both units hold books, notebooks, speakers, and my laptop on top with zero wobble or sagging. 
If you need versatile storage that actually lasts, this is it. The fact that I trusted it enough to buy a second one in a different color says everything. Already recommending to friends!

So Good I Bought It Twice!

Funny ... this bookshelf has existed for over 18 years. I would know because I ordered a few of them in my college days for those heavy academic books.  Today, I needed one for my son's childrens books. 18 years later, the cost is still the same!  A nominal $24 for a well made, sturdy bookcase.

Can't Beat It...Seriously!

The included small, odd, black piece of plastic is a device to help people hammer in the nails. I didn't realize what it was until after I completed the assembly. The nail device would probably help. Although I tried hard to nail very carefully, three of the nails caused damage to the bookshelf frame, causing small chunks of it to break off. The frame material is thin and easily damaged if the nails are not hammered in perfectly straight and in the exact right location and angle.

Use the plastic nailing device

Good cheap bookshelf! The back is very very weak, basically cardboard which I don't like. It also came partially ripped. Overall, I like it and recommend for the price.

Decent bookshelf for good price

Pretty easy to assemble. All the parts are numbered in separate bags. There are premade holes for the screws. You do need your own screwdriver and hammer. Im trying to set mine up for Uranium glass display with a blacklight. (It works amazingly but i need a shorter light to fit) If you need a quick, inexpensive and decent looking book shelf, its a good deal.

Quick nice build

The wooden boards come with pre drilled holes for the dowels and screws. The holes were extremely crooked you aren't able to attach the side of the book shelf or the shelves without out drilling new holes, but then you have empty holes where the screws and dowels were supposed to go. The wood isn't good quality it's all marked up and the baxk of the book shelf is a super thin piece of cardboard. Do not recommend
