I liked the texture and design as it allowed the fries to cook right through and be crisper. Only issue I had was the time stated on the bag meant enough qnd very undercooked (this may be my oven or different settings).

Flavourful

Who doesn't love a funky style of fry?! McCain® Spicy Lattice Cut is definitely that! And it's also my new favourite! This product was easy to spot amongst all the other packages of potato products because of its bright, bold colours and large, clear product picture. The bag also had a good feeling of weight to it, signaling to me that the fries were likely quite substantial and not flimsy. I loved the easy "tear open" option at the top of the bag. It was easy and simple to do and made a clean straight opening. Having the option to then reseal the bag would have also been nice. As soon as I opened the bag, the flavourful 'spicy' smell was amazing! It instantly piqued my taste buds. And, they weren't just spice flavoured; you could actually see some spices on them. The lattice cut was evident with just about every fry, throughout the entire bag. They cooked up perfectly, as per the directions, in only about 15 minutes, and came out a beautiful golden colour, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfect! The spice taste was very good but not overdone. I thoroughly enjoyed them, with just a bit of ketchup! I can see these being used by just about anyone who wants an extra kick to their fries as a snack, an appetizer, party food and/or alongside sandwiches, hot dogs or burgers. I would also definitely feel 
good about serving these to guests.

Lattice be Spicy!

These were one of the most fun patato slices I've had. I've had ruffles but these are different. Once you cook it a little longer, it gets nice and crispy. I mad a batch as an evening snack and it tasted good. I'm glad these comes in decent size bags as it would be done in no time. My toddlers loved these and we plan to include them in his lunch menu.

Super fun to eat

Great product. This is our first time trying these. They cooked up quite fast and tasted great. I was worried about them being mushy but they were nice and crispy. They were the spicy ones but me and my children didn't find them very spicy at all. I would buy these again and would recommend to anyone.

Great taste

I went to the store and bought McCain Gladys cut spicy fries. They were very easy to find in the store and I like the new purple part on the packaging it shows it's a different type of product. I really love these lattice cut fries the cut of them makes them taste better because of the texture. They were perfect thickness and for me they were the perfect amount of spice I like them a lot.

McCain lattice cut

[Employee of walmartcanada] I have tried McCain Lattice Cut potatoes a couple of times since purchasing it. I do find it does have a nice spice to it. I like really spicy food so in my personal opinion it could have been spicier. However, I imagine it has to have a generalized spice level so everyone can enjoy it. They were very crispy which I enjoyed very much. I do not like fries or potato products to be mushy. They are quick to make, I made them to accompany my lunch. So they would be great for quick and easy lunches. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to make a side that is quick and easy.

Great Taste and Spice

A nice change from regular french fries, these lattice cut chips from McCain are a fun, crispy and very tasty fry-like product! With just a little bit of spice, they are great for the whole family, and mayo makes a perfect dip for a yummy change from ketchup. A perfect snack or a side dish, or even good as an appetizer!

Crispy alternative to Fries

My daughter and I made the McCain spicy lattice cut fries to go with our lunch. I think they are a tasty side dish that I wouldn't mind having once in awhile. My daughter and I both felt that the lattice fries were good tasting, but we both felt they weren't spicy enough. They should either change the name to "seasoned lattice fries" or up the spice level Also I baked them according to package instructions and they weren't crispy maybe deep frying would kick them up a notch. Aside from that they are certainly tasty on their own or with a dip. Nice as a side or snack. I would buy these once in awhile

Tasty, but not spicy

Since I LOVE McCain's Spicy Fries, it should follow that I would also love their Spicy Lattice Fries. And in a way, I do but there are some problems with them that would stop me from buying them again.
Lattice Fries are normal fries' fun cousin - thinner strands of potato intertwined. That translates into crispier fries with more crunch. And if the bag was full of nice big waffle fries then I'd be happy. But it wasn't.
After making a decent sized serving of Lattice Fries for two people, all the actual lattice fries were gone. All that was left were the smaller bits and pieces that were more like skinny fries than anything else. And that was super disappointing. Coupled with the fact that you get quite a lot less in the bag than normal fries, there's no real reason to recommend these. They are tasty, but I'm going to stick to the normal Spicy Fries instead.

Not enough big Lattice Fries in the bag

I found that the quantity that you get in the bag is not very much. For a family of 4, or for kids and friends, you would need more to feed them.
I think you should cook them at 450 degrees instead of 425, makes them crispen up quicker. The cooking time is about right, but I did have to cook a few minutes more.
There were lots of small pieces, so I didn't really like that, as it would be nice to be able to dip these in salsa, or another type of dip.
The kids said they were spicy, but I didn't think they were too spicy.
