Bought this over a year ago and it still has a great picture! We use it for gaming and movies and could not be more pleased.

Purchased this TV for my bedroom.  The price and size were perfect. It is just a plain TV and I don't intend to hook any devices up to it so I didn't care that it is not a smart TV.  I have cable, the picture and sound are great. I bought the extended warranty so I know it will OK for at least 3 years.

Great TV

I give this 4 stars based on price only.  The sound is pretty poor, especially placed in a cabinet -- it seems like the sound is coming out the back.  Some old computer speakers that I had made it much better.  And the color is okay but skin tones are very dull.  Everyone looks a little pale.  But for $230 it's a perfectly fine TV.

Quality matches the price

very easy to set up. picture is very good.
sound could be just a tad better,i planed on getting a  sound sys any way.
i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars only because you cant adjust the tint.
great tv for the price

The TV has a nice picture but the sound quality is not great.  We had to buy a sound bar to improve which increased the cost of the TV.  I'm not too disappointed but wish you were able to adjust the sound more.

JVC 49 inch TV

Needed an updated 4K TV to connect our 4K Apple TV. 
We did not need a Smart TV. The TV arrived rather quickly.
The picture is fantastic compared to our 9yo Sony 1080P TV.
Everything looks crisp and clear. Hooked it up to our surround sound system so, no problems with sound. Great bargain.

Great for Apple TV or Roku

49" Monitor fits great on computer desk.  This eliminated the need for multiple monitors.  I can even leave more documents open on my desktop while working.  I do not have to move my head as much to see more open documents.  Contrast is good, could be better and at 32" away from my eyes I do notice a little dimming of edges of monitor (non issue).  I think 49" is my limit for computer monitor size.  But time will tell.

Great dual computer monitor

Not too shabby for the price! I paid $230 on sale. The reviews on another site were good but I kept my expectations realistic because let's face it, this is not a $1000+ 4K TV. Blu-ray movies look amazing on this TV. Sharp, crisp and clear. I use Netflix (the high def subscription) and Sling and they look great (for the most part...) but cable I assume will look just as good. A couple of things that I learned: older movies and movies with older digital tech (think mid to late 90s) look ok but pixelate a lot during certain scenes (fast moving, etc) and adjust your TV settings to your preference. I turned the brightness down and the picture quality improved significantly. I don't think the upsample is that great on this TV but for the price it is a great buy, hands down. Sounds great too.

Decent TV for the price

1) I really wanted this TV to work for me
2) Build seemed flimsy, especially the connections, which moved too much to the touch
3) The DTV tuning was subpar, as it could not hold the channels very well compared to my 10+yr old plasma while using the same antenna.
4) Solid black in the picture would wash out (i.e. lose pixel-ation and turn into a blob), even when watching a movie via the DVD player.
5) I thought the sound was good.
6) I could not keep it because it simply did not perform as well as my existing TV using the same connections and set up.
7) I thought about trying to download and upgrade the TV firmware, but concluded it was too risky

Maybe Your Results Will Be Better

Bought at a great price but after 1 month i could not take it any more and returned TV. Whenever viewing slightly off center the colors start to wash out and move any further off center and it really is unwatchable. Also the picture adjustments for brightness, contrast and tint didn't make a difference when trying to adjust for a dimly lit room.
