To be honest my kids have gone through iPads like if I had all the money in the world. But these have the best picture I have seen with android. Kids love them. Kind of slow start up when they turn off or die. But other than they have great battery life and are pretty fast.!

We bought this to replace the Onn Kid's tablet. we should have just bought this one to beginw ith. you can still set the device up to be a kid's device with Google Kid's Space, and it works much better and is better quality than the kid's tablet. Which is crazy to me cause the kid's tablet was more expensive than this. Basically the Onn kid's tablet has a faulty charger mechanism where the port stops working and it doesn't want to charge anymore, despite being plugged into a working charging cord. So, we bought this tablet, which is the same exact length and width as the kid's one, and took the old one out of the kid's tablet cover, that comes with the kids tablet, and it was a perfect fit. I am so happy this worked out so well! Parent, PLEASE skip the Onn Kid's Tablet and just buy this regular tablet, instead! Be sure to set it up as a kid's tablet when starting it up for the first time.

Better and Cheaper Than The Onn Kid's Tablet

I've tried an array of affordable tablets for my 2 young sons over the years, this has been the best so far. The last one cost twice as much and didn't last a month. 

To start, the all aluminum body was an unexpected plus. Looks and feels premium. Start up is slow, low-end android experience is what it is (lol) but this tablet handles youtube %26 video watching in general really well. I wouldn't expect to be doing any substantial gaming on this thing, but it's a great option for a kid or content consumption.

Great for Children

Good tablet that can fit in your pocket so you can take it anywhere without taking too much space, but still big enough to consume media. Keep in mind watching videos will burn battery much quicker, so it's ideal for reading books and comics on your microSD card.
Downside: 1/ only accepts FAT32 microSD cards, so you will not be able to play video files larger than 4gb. 2/ screen is not very bright, so if you view the tablet under bright environment, you might find the tablet screen a bit too dim. 3/ if you're not in the US your accessories options such as screen protectors and cases are limited.
So if you just want a portable budget tablet that you can take with you to read or consume lightweight media on the go and don't mind downgrading your microSD storage to FAT32, this is a perfect fit.

Good Budget Tablet for Reading

This is my second 8 inch Onn tablet. I still have the first one I bought in 2021 but had to retire it from streaming. The new tablet in Pearl is fantastic! It is strictly for streaming. It has a good battery for hours of streaming and it's easy to use. The Bluetooth works great and I have already paired my earbuds and portable speaker with it. Great value for the price.

Onn 8 inch tablet

Money well spent. This Onn tablet seems to have everything I need %26 more.  Features like Digital Well-being let me know Onn has the customer definitely in mind. The price %26 many other features make it a no-brainer if you decide to buy.

Tablet Onn...

Ordered the Onn 8inch Tablet for my son and I to share for Christmas. A couple of things right off the bat that I don't like is that the tablet does not have a headphone jack built in.. my son is 5 and does not have Bluetooth headphones… for a reason. Second thing that I immediately don't like is that I also purchased an SD card for this tablet because I KNEW the storage was not enough. Put the SD card in and got it set up and not a single app on here has the option to place on the SD card. Wasn't aware I was purchasing a device that only allows photos, music and notes for the SD card. 1 game took up all of the storage on this device and I now have a useless SD card. The device runs slow. It lags and could just be the fact that it's an android. This would be great for a child if it had the option for headphone jack, but I couldn't imagine an adult using this for everyday use. The in app quality is kind of bad and like I said, everything is slow and grainy. For $80, I'm very disappointed because I feel it's equivalent to a really cheap phone, with a bigger screen. I also feel like ALL the apps it comes with that can't be deleted are completely wasteful. Next time it comes to this brand, I'll save my money.

Pretty Disappointed

I couldn't even get past the setup without the tablet freezing or not responding. I then charged it, in hopes that a full battery would help. Once I got it set up with all the parental settings, it then once again froze and started freezing up. I understand why the price was ticketed even lower than its retail. This tablet is worthless and will just cause you frustration.

bought one in store on friday and it wouldnt get passed the download and install screen. we have very good internet. also tried other wifis and it wouldnt connect.  thought we got a fluke so decided to try again. same problem. will be returning and getting an amazon fire tablet. 0/10 recommend onn brand tablets. i could understand if it happened once, but not with two different ones.

save your money. wont get passed installation

ZERO STARS. As lots of others have experienced, it errors out when trying to do a software update. There's one available but an error comes up and no combination of restarting the update or tablet fixes it. Lesson learned, just pay a little more for a name brand and do it right the first time or you'll be paying twice like I am.

Besides the updating issue, the tablet is slow and I wish I had opted for something else.
