As a vegan of over two decades, I've tried my share of plant-based products, and I can say without a doubt that Field Roast's Smoked Apple %26 Sage Plant-Based Sausages are the absolute best I've ever had. What I love most is that they don't try to imitate the taste of meat—they have a fantastic, unique flavor all their own. The quality is outstanding; they are well-made and hold up perfectly in any dish. They are also incredibly delicious and surprisingly budget-friendly for such a high-quality product. This is a game-changer and a new staple in my kitchen.

I think these are delicious! I havent tried them whole as a hot dog but I like to cut them up and add them to fried potatoes like I would kielbasa. They do not taste like sausages or kielbasa though! They are their own unique savory flavor. They brown really nicely and sometimes I burn them a little but they're still yummy. Once you have them once the smell will make you drool.

We are so happy to see Field Roast products at Walmart!  Especially given the price.  We use these often with marinara sauce %26 spaghetti, and for skillet or sheet pan dinners; they are easy to prepare.  The taste and texture are perfect, and it is good to have meat alternatives of this quality.

Great meat alternative.

So good! Wish they had it easily available. It is really hard to find it on the Walmart app and when I finally find it, it is 9/10 out of stock! So sad cause I would spend more money on it if it was easily available for delivery.

Really Good but hard to get from Walmart in area

These Plant-based sausages are a weekly purchase and consumed directly out of the package.  I am addicted.  The flavor is not overpowering. I highly recommend.

Very yummy!

These are the best vegan sausage! They are great to replace vegan hotdogs! We eat these with casseroles and as a protein with so many different side dishes! They pair so well! However, they are terrible in Italain food! Please bring back the Italian fennel field roast sausages!!!!!!!!! Our spaghetti, Zuppa soup, creamy penne pasta, and Italian sausage vegetable soup are all terrible now!

Great, but don't compare to the fennel ones

If you expect these sausages to taste just like pork sausage, you will be disappointed. But the taste is NOT bad.  I tried these with the idea that they taste good, not that they would be a total meat replacement.
The texture is smooth, maybe a bit mushy - but okay.
In a good bun with condiments it was just fine.

Very good for a veggie product.

I liked the flavor, but the texture is a little soft.  Still, I will buy them again and try different ways to make them.  I refuse to go back to animal products.  Switched to vegan about six months ago and haven't looked back.  I've lost weight and feel much better physically, and also happy to not be consuming animals anymore! Thank you, Walmart, for having so many vegan products that aren't available in our local food stores!
PS to Walmart:  I'm wondering why a case of 12 costs about twice as much as they would if you buy 12 separate packs?

I tried this years ago and it was great. They must have changed the recipe because now the texture reminds me of blended rubber bands. It's a no for me.
