II wasn't sure what to expect, but it won me over. It is has a tangy kick that tastes like the real deal. I like that the ingredients don't read like a chemistry set, and the probiotic benefits are a nice bonus. I've been eating it straight out of the jar as a snack, with eggs, and on sandwiches and it has been delicious.

This was spicier than any Walmart canned Kim Chi I have tasted.
This is shredded almost identically to SAUERKRAUT. 
TASTES quite similar to Sauerkraut even pickled a bit.
Missing larger, thicker, crunchy cabbage. I really liked the flavor actually. I would call this Sauerkraut Kim Chi. Although this would be great on Hot Dogs or Pulled Pork or in soup-this doesn't represent traditional Korean Kim Chi to me.
As an alternative though, it was nice.

The quality is very good, it's crisp, and has balanced flavor. However, it tastes more akin a sweet and spicy sauerkraut than kimchi. I  would prefer it with grilled pork, not so much my stir fry.  It will be great with bbq and grilled foods.

I tried a different brand first and it was much much better. This one is good and if I hadn't had the other first would have probably rated it higher. This one is a little cheaper… but made with regular cabbage and doesn't taste like real kimchi to me.

It's good but others are better to me

the reason why I gave it an overall ring was the one but the rating for The taste quality and the texture 05 it's because it is not kimchi so overall rating a one however if they said it was a spicy sauerkraut five and taste 5 and quality and five in texture but who's going to spend that much on sauerkraut so just beware but you know and it's more chop this supposed to the nice big pieces like you're used to like sauerkraut

This is not kimchi, not even close. Tasted like sauerkraut with some red pepper flakes. I ate two bites, just to be fair, then dumped it down the disposal. 🤢

Not Kimchi!

It tastes sour and more like some sort of horse raddish dish than flavorful kimchi. Doesnt taste like kimchi at all. I bought both kimchi's avalible on the site and the other one was delicious in comparison, ate that one in two days... this one I'm struggling to figure out how to mask the taste so I can still use it lol

Try another brand

If you've had kimchi before then you will hate this. I loved the idea that you can just put it in your pantry and open it whenever you want but it's really not worth it. It tastes like sauerkraut with barely any spice and it has little to no flavor like they added water or something. It's even shredded like sauerkraut. The only thing that was decent was that it's not soggy and still has a nice crunch. It's not worth the convenience or money

This is NOT kimchi

It's nasty. If you like Kimchi this is not for you. I have never left a review on an item but it legit tastes like spicy (barely spicy) sauerkraut. Not kimchi. I don't think Walmart should sell this item. It's so bad it's pretty much false advertising

The taste of this product is terrible!!  It tastes like a watered-down sauerkraut.  Now I like sauerkraut, but this doesn't even rise to the quality of a decent sauerkraut. It is truly awful.  The color and flavor makes it appear that the spice level is about 1/5 that it should be. Honestly I was surprised at how terrible it was.
