May not close properly or align correctly due to manufacturing issues.

Requires patience and time due to numerous pieces.

Made with sturdy construction to withstand prolonged use.

The desk is beautiful. I use it in my home office and it is the perfect size for my laptop and two 24 monitors. It also seems well made and very sturdy. I love it!

Beautiful and very sturdy!

Sauder Woodworking Co.

The additional storage is flexible, and more than adequate. In addition to being a very attractive piece of office furniture, this desk is easy to assemble. The instructions are accurate and easy to follow. The only times I almost made a mistake was when I had not followed the instructions to the letter. Sauder ready-to-assemble are the mainstay of my office.

This is a great office computer desk.

Its our office desk, takes awhile to put together but once done its solid. Read all instructions thoroughly before attaching pieces, i made some assumptions that were wrong and had to redo. Its a laminate which makes for sharp edges, may need to cover the front edge while working the keyboard. I would order again.

Great for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As the item is a customer assemble product is fell in tune with all other IKEA style purchases. There were the expected frustrations as some parts did not meet the alignment specs, but over very satisfied with the product as it meets the needs of fuctunality.

Disclaimer: If you are not interested in putting this desk together, I would consider hiring someone or buying something else. I am not great at putting things together, but I have to say the finished product is more than satisfactory. The directions can be tricky at times since labeling different pieces and identifying them was a chore. The assembly book is at least 28 pages, but there is a video to help guide you. But that was just a computer reading the directions vs. showing you how to assemble. The pieces are sturdy and cut well, so fitting everything together was pretty straightforward. Next, I'd like to see the mfr. put the rails together because this is the trickiest part of the entire assembly process. Putting in the drawers and making sure they line up correctly and the door aligning was the most challenging part of this construction. I like the look, the feel, and the space it gives me. I would have liked a hole in the top to pull down all the cords, but I used a cord gathering system so they wouldn't all hang down, visible to anyone who looked at the space where your chair goes. Sauder's delivery and the ordering process were excellent, efficient, and timely. I would order again from Sauder, considering buying another piece from this desk manufacturer.

Quality Desk at an affordable price

It took me a while to assemble this product. I found the directions to be quite unclear at times. Some of the pieces do not clearly show which is the top or bottom. I put most of the desk together and then when I flipped it over, one of the pieces was upside down and I had to disassemble half of it to fix it. Also I found I needed someone to help me assemble the side parts where you have to kind of bend the side piece and fit it into the the two other pieces. It also took me a good hour playing around with all the drawers to finally get them to fit properly. It was a very frustrating process. I probably spent about 12 hours total (over the course of three days) putting it together. It came out nice but if I had known how complicated it was to assemble, I probably would not have ordered it.

unclear directions/frustrating to assemble

Desk top came out of the box with a noticeable dent that bulged the top surface and a nick in the the opposite side edge that catches on your forearm as you work at the desk. I put glue on the nicked edge to keep the nick from catching on clothing and becoming worse. Unfortunately the dent with the bulge is quite noticeable! The surface feels soft and easy to damage. I'm making sure to always write with a notepad under the document and I put felt feet on the desk accessories to protect the desk top. I do like the color and design and the look of the pull handles. The desk size gives a nice workspace even with a 27"" computer screen. Assembled easily.

Looks nice but damages easily!

Dont get me wrong, this is a really pretty desk once assembled, but the task of assembling should be zero stars. The draw slides, hinges, everything has to be assembled yourself. Dont order unless you have someone to help lift the boxes and an entire day to assemble. It took my husband 5 or more hours to put this together. Had I of known I would have bought something different.

Harder to assemble then IKEA furniture

I like the look of this desk, but it does not put together well. I had issues with the cupboard door. It has a rather larger gap between the edge and the edge of the cabinet. It also has issues with the upper right hand and lower left drawer. The upper draw seems to rest on a lip, and I have to lift the drawer up a little to get it to slide into place. The lower left filing drawer will not close at all. I have contacted the company and they said it needs a firm push to get into place, the first time to slide it back to get the sliders to latch in, but I am not confident. It clicks into place but then literally stops and will not go any further. I am not going to break something trying to 'persuade' it. I do intend to try and refit that to see if it works. The frame does fit together pretty well, but you have to assemble it upside down, so you will need help turning it the right way up. It will also need care, because despite the joins appearing tight, it does seem a little loose sounding when you do flip it over. Because some of the parts are somewhat ill fitting, this does detract from the overall aesthetic appearance, making it not so attractive. We make have just ended up with a slightly less than perfect version, as machine cut materials for home assembly are far less reliable as they should be. Anyway, keep that in mind if you are considering this model.

Some parts are not well fitted.

This desk was very had to put together. The instructions were not clear and I had to redo several steps. It is not sturdy and will not survive a move.. Many of the pieces did not line up correctly and it looks it now that it is together. None of the drawers slide in and out smoothly
