This bookshelf is exactly what we needed! Not the best bookshelf I've ever seen but quite nice for the price. Better than I expected.

Great piece for the price!

walmart.com

This bookshelf fits the space beautifully and hods everything I needed to put there. It is not as sturdy as some, since the backing is wood printed cardboard, but it does keep the shape of the bookshelf very stable. Otherwise, it is doing its job well, holding many books and papers. The color matches some of the other pieces we have, so it looks great.

It does the job

Sauder Woodworking Co.

This bookcase was fairly easy to put together with two people. I am using it for organizing crafts primarily. It is lighter than older bookcases I've had and therefore it doesn't seem as sturdy. The only thing I really don't like about this bookshelf is the backing, which is cardboard. I'm considering buying my own backing.

Works for what I need it to do.

Delivery was much swifter than estimated, and all parts were included in very sturdy packaging. This bookcase met my expectations as far as looks, quality, and ease of assembly. I did secure the top unit to a wall stud as recommended by the instructions to be on the safe side. I would recommend this unit as a good buy for the low cost.

Good value for the money

This would of been a great bookshelf if the corner wasnt a little mashed in. Also the back board is so flimsy that when I when to put it on the crease where it was folded tore. I dont know why companies use this kind of backing especially for $80. They need to use something thicker. I probably wouldnt purchase again. I would like to find a bookshelf with sturdier backing.

Ok bookshelf

I needed several bookcases which I planned to combine into a single large bookcase, adding framing on the front to dress them up a bit. These seemed to fill the bill. I had purchased several larger ones of similar construction a few years ago, but my Walmart store never seemed to have them in stock, so I decided to go with these. These arrived fairly quickly and were packaged well. However, they are divided into two vertical sections that are about the same height. Since there are only 3 shelves in addition to the middle fixed shelf, one of the sections can only have one shelf, resulting in two vertical spaces that are larger than most books and wasting a lot of space. The one I had purchased previously had the lower section smaller than the upper, so the 5 sections could be more evenly sized. I will have to purchase and add another shelf to make good use of the lower section of these bookcases. Moreover, the cases I purchased earlier were 30 inches wide and cost $25 each, These are 24 inches wide and cost $44 each. The 30-inch wide version was listed at $60 each, as I recall. I actually saved a little by getting five of the 24-inch units instead of 4 of the 30-inch units to fill the space I needed.

A Basic Bookcase but with awkward shelf spacing

the backing was a huge disappointment - just cardboard so you will have to make sure you don't push items flush to the back. I needed something asap and the less expensive models in white were all sold out.
This does the job, my books are off the floor, but it's not worth the price. Go to IKEA instead.

Does the Job

Moving it without having the top section fully together was disastrous today. We'll see if Elmer's glue can repair the damage. The top section does not hold on to the bottom very well. Following the directions was a bit confusing for my husband.

I was pleased, however, with the appearance of the pieces. Nice solid white.

Good if you are handy with tools & written guides.

The description does not include the weak back. It is not even as thick as a manila folder. It was thick particle board and probably would have held up except for the back. It stapled on to the edge and was ripped.

Too flimsy for the price

I wish I could give this 0 stars. This "bookcase" is like a pile of match wood waiting to be blown over. It wobbles back and forth with the slightest touch. If you have small children do not get!! This compressed particle board will be going back to the store.

So unsafe.
