Good quality and fairly easy to put together. I picked this since it seemed to match my entertainment unit since it's espresso. It ended up matching really well. 

As long as you following the instructions step by step, you won't have any problems. They are very easy to follow. I would suggest to label all the pieces with the letter label using post it's. Some are clearly labeled, some are not. It just makes things easier when you need to grab the next piece. 

One of the shelves had a crack in it but ordering the replacement shelf through Sauder was so easy, and I got it very quickly.

I'm overall very satisfied!

Great piece of furniture for the price.

I had previously purchased pieces of this set for a spare bedroom and loved the look. So when my son in college transferred to a new school closer to home and moved back in we went back to this set for his room. The set is strong, sturdy, and has the look of more expensive factory assembled furniture. Assembly is easy with a minimum number of tools and the instructions are easy to follow. Yes, ladies, some of us guys do read the instructions! :-) Out of seven pieces of furniture purchased I had a screw missing so I contacted Sauder. The customer service person I spoke with could not have been nicer and was in the USA! I got my missing screw a long with a touch up pen for the asking. With 4 boys we have purchased a number of you assemble furniture pieces over the years from a number of manufactures and I have to say I find Sauder the best built and designed of the bunch. On top of that the furniture is made in the US by Americans! I would not hesitate to purchase Sauder again and I recommend this company.

The bookshelf was the easiest of all the pieces that I bought, to put together. However, two of the shelves came damaged. They were missing the finish in the corners of both pieces. I am every happy with this item, but a little upset about the damaged shelves.

Beautiful bookshelf

I bought this because it matches a desk that I bought second-hand. Although it was a little confusing to put together, in the end it is a nice-looking unit. A couple of the pieces were not labelled which extended the time it took to put this together. I really like it as it is 'rich' looking and functions well.

Great unit but couple pieces not labelled

I purchased two of these to go along with the 59" credenza, and boy, putting everything together takes forever! It would be a little easier if the nails and screws were all separated, but if you have the patience to put the pieces together they come out very nice-looking.

Perfect for my space

The bookcase is lovely. I ordered 2 and both came in a timely manner and well packed. Directions were easy so follow.  However one of my bookcases did not come with all the parts. The front curved decorative piece is missing.

Lovely but...

Too expensive for a library that it's not even wood. And the border of one of the bottom door came chip.

I opened the box to assemble the bookshelf, and right off the bat, we noticed several necessary parts were missing. I will be sending it back. Not sure if I will order another one or not, depends on what Wal-Mart can tell me, because I want a guarantee that I won't wait 3 weeks for another incomplete bookshelf!
