I tried sitara chana dal recently and i was impressed with the quality. The dal is clean and free from stones or dust and cooks evenly without taking too long to soften. Once cooked, it has a nutty flavor and a creamy bite that works perfectly in both simple dals and richer recipes. Overall good quality dal.

I have purchased this product many times over the last several years and find the quality to be good. I do sift through and sort my chickpeas, just to make sure there is no debris or small stones, but I have only found the occasional piece of grain. The split chickpeas are easier for me to digest, but still hold their shape in curries and soups. These have been a great addition to my pantry.

Consistent quality

I always buy dal because of good quality, taste and  don't need to wash it too many times before cooking. It taste good  and cooks nicely in my pressure cooker. Highly recommend this.

I was using superstore brand earlier. This time i decided to try something other brand and while visiting Walmart I bought sitara brand and it turned out to be more cheaper and taste better

Chickpeas are rich in plant protein. It will keep you away from iron deficiency, and it  helps in the progress of digestion. Chana dal can help in reducing bad cholestrol in our blood. It is also rich in protein and fiber. It helps to build strong muscles.
