Though these are a favourite since my High School days, now as a senior, I still buy them once in a while. But what I have noticed over the years is the quality control or lack of. I had one 2 days ago and after practically eating all but 1/4 of it, I thought they mislabeled the box. For the first 3/4 of it, it was NOT spicy at all. But at the last quarter of it the spicy was finally there. 

Which means whomever mixed the batch didn't mix it thoroughly so it didn't taste savoury and spicey throughout. It still tasted fine, but why buy a spicy version if 3/4 of it is bland. Today I decided to have another and from the first to the last bite it was spicey throughout. But that first one was very disappointing for being poorly mixed.

A favourite since High School and I'm retired now.

After having authentic beef patties in Jamaica, I thought I would try these…nope, not even close. The seasoning on the meat is not tasty and the pastry/dough is quite thick. I like that Walmart carries ethnic items like this but I bet there are better suppliers in this case.
