I was looking for an inexpensive way to make an "entertainment center" around my new big screen TV.  I specifically wanted acacia wood.  I was excited to find a three level tv stand to go beneath the TV and then these acacia wood bookshelves to go on either side, especially since they were all the same width.  However, when I tried to put the bookcases together, not only were the parts labeled with letters and the instructions listed numbers, most of the shelving pieces did not have the holes drilled in them!!!  The few holes that were there were usually not even in the correct place!  I've put together a lot of furniture from both Walmart vendors and IKEA so I figured this simple bookcase would be easy.  But unless you are proficient with a drill, it is impossible.  I had to hire my handyman to assemble them (I bought two) and even he struggled due to the acacia wood being very hard and the screws being cheap.  In the end, they looked pretty good when paired with the TV stand and I have actually had multiple people comment on them.  But they were a major headache.  So unless you are good with power tools, I would not recommend this bookcase!  By the way, like I said, I bought two and both sets did not have the holes drilled.  I was hoping the first one was just a fluke, but it wasn't.

This bookcase arrived and when it was opened, it looked as if someone poured dirt inside of the package and ALL of the contents were filthy dirty!  Additionally, the instructions were horrible, and none of the parts were labeled correctly.  NONE of the parts!!  I have put together many, many products in my time, and I can figure this out, but if I had it to do all over again - I would make a different purchase.
