For Summer

Everyday Use

I usually wear Keen Targhee sandals in the summer, but this year I wanted something a little different. I grew up in the 70s and these Chuck Taylor's brought back that vibe to me. I couldn't decide between black or white… so I got one pair of each! They are very lightweight and comfortable. I usually wear size 12 shoes, but the site recommended sizing down 1/2 size, so I did. They fit great at a half size smaller. I have been wearing them with shorts. See my pictures.

Great casual summer shoes

converse.com

I have a bad right hip. I can feel the
ground under me. Not like something with no padding but just the right amount so you feel comfortably connected. I'm 70
this year and just bought my first red pair of Converse All Stars. Gonna be a good summer.

I feel the earth move

I loved the pair Dr. Ryland Grace had on in Project Hail Mary so I of course went to look up the shoe. Came across this pair and got them! I added my own pride laces and they're so cute!

Love these shoes!

I bought these in January 2024 to replace a pair of five year old lowtop All Stars from January 2019, same model just a different color, but they were developing a few small holes and were discoloring This pair from 2024 has now burst along the canvas where it meets the sole for a good 3-4 inches after two years of same exact use, weightlifting. Thankfully I saved the previous pair that had been in use for five years because I have to go back to them while I decide if I want to buy another pair of these or not.

Not as durable as they used to be

I can always count on my Chuck Taylor's to be stylish, comfortable and ready to go.

Perfect Fit and Function

These were my go to shoe for over 30 years; walking at Disney for hours, no problem, in the snow, sure. But converse changed them and they're just terrible. I dont know why they thought a man-made material was better than the classic canvas, but its not. The fit is off and they don't breathe like they used to. Sadly, these are going back and I'm on the hunt for a new everyday shoe.

Nope

I've had Chuck Taylor shoes before and remember them being somewhat uncomfortable. These, however, fit very well (true to size) and are actually quite comfortable to wear. They have more insole cushioning than my previous Chucks. I am very happy with these.

Classic and Comfy

Been wearing Chucks since the 1960s. Own 7-8 colors in low and high tops. Sizing has changed since the early-mid 2000s when I last bought a few pairs. The new, half sizes are not as accurate as expected so I needed to return and exchange for a full size larger. Other than that,.. same ol' Chucks, which is a good thing!

Been wearing Chucks since the 1960s.

I have several pairs that I swap out all summer. I usually put an insert into them as I have a narrow foot but I can walk all day for miles in them...

Love my Chuck Taylors

Still has the great classic look. One star off because the back heel lamination has been weaker for about the last 10 years so I have to buy a new pair every year not because the sole wears out but because the fabric on the inside of the heel wears out. I could write this review about the last 5 that I bought. If they were more durable, I'd buy more colors but as it is I seem to be on a yearly subscription as the inside heel wears out early.

Looks great, could be more durable

I washed these, by hand, for the first time. They weren't even that dirty, just really around the inside of the tongue. After they dried, there was some kind of orangish something seeping up from the sole. Re-washed and it came back again. It does go away and comes back as they dry, which leads me to believe it is the glue seeping up? Per Converse's response, it is not a defect, so I do not qualify for the warranty! I am so disappointed. I love all my other converses, I can't even really wear these ones again, they are that bad looking!

SO DISAPPOINTED!

what you expect from the classic! love the charcoal color :-) with converse maybe go up 1/2 size if you have wide feet
