I have always used meow mix. A yr ago my bf brought home a lil black kitten that fell out from under a truck going down the road in front of him. She was REALLY skinny, scared and greasy. It took him 30 minutes to get her to come to him. We tried to feed her can food, NOT touching it. Even tried tuna, wouldn't even lick it. So he went to the store and got meow mix. She ate it a lil but it gave her gas and bad tummy trouble. We tried kitten chow. She loved, Loved, LOVED the kitten chow. Ate it up good and had no gas, hard belly, or any belly trouble. She perked up got more loving. Now shes a yr old, spoiled, and eats cat chow healthy weight cause she a lil pig.

Peaches decided to adopt our family a couple of months ago. She looked about 2 months old, so we got her Purina Kitten Chow. She loves it. She has turned out to be a very finicky eater, but we know she will always eat the Kitten Chow. She will graduate out of kitten food eventually, but always will have Purina.

Every spring through fall, I foster between 5-15 orphaned kittens. After they graduate from kitten formula, we crush up Purina Kitten Chow in a little canned food to train them how to eat solid foods. They always grow up happy, healthy, adorable, and ready to find their forever homes!!!

We moved to a new home with a barn and quite a few feral cats. Several of them have just had kittens within the past month or two,so now we have at least ten babies of varying ages. I started feeding them the kitten chow, then noticed on the bag that it was also good to give it to the nursing moms. But they seemed to know it was good for them, too, because they kept coming back for more. As an old maternity RN, I knew it was important for them to take in enough calories while nursing, so I began putting food out three times daily, to which they eagerly helped themselves. They also have fresh water, so the plan is working well. We have four chubby little ones from one mom who ate very well during her pregnancy. I have one suggestion, though. You need to make Kitten Chow in much larger bags!!

My husband found a stray kitten on his way home from work one day, he brought it home bc he loves cats , it was almost dead and we nursed it back to health and now the kitten chow is THE ONLY good she will eat, she is happy with it and us, so were both extremely happy he found her, she is definately part of the family now!!!!!!

Tried this for our older gal who was losing weight. She liked it at first but then seemed to tire of it. I thought the kitten formulation might help her put on a few pounds but it just didn't work out as I had hoped. But I would definitely recommend it for kittens (as Purina intended it to be)!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I foster new kittens the first hard cat food I introduce is Purina Kitten Chow. As the are fosters, I start mixing it with supplemental mother's milk to soften it and place a small piece at the kittens mouth to encourage intake. Once they get a taste of the "real" thing...they will seek the kitten chow out and fill up quickly. I wean them from milk softened chow to dry chow and recommend it when I return the kittens to find their forever homes. When I return the kittens I always make a little goodie bag with a story about their life with me, Purina Kitten Chow and Even some Purina Whisker Lickens for treats. I've never lost a kitten yet and am proud of the ones who have grown up to provide love and companionship for their humans.

My aunt feeds the feral cats that come everyday to be fed. The kittens need extra nutrients that they aren't able to get because their mothers aren't in the best of health. I bought the kitten brand for her and she's been feeding the kittens every day with a product that will make them healthier. I'm glad there is a product that can help them. The kittens will be having a hard enough life as it is. They need the extra boost to help them grown.

I recently adopted a male kitten. I wanted to make sure that he would receive all the special minerals, vitamins and nutrition to grow up healthy. I did some research and came to the conclusion that Purina Kitten Chow was the best choice. My older cats try to steal his food. even adult cats like "baby kitten" food. I am pleased he is eating well.

We got our cute little Brandy 3 months ago. She loves to eat!! Her older brother Sox also loves to eat...he enjoys her Purina Kitten Chow better than his adult food. I would recommend Purina Kitten Chow to anyone getting a kitten to get them off to a healthy start in life.
