[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Lóréal Superior Preference Permanent Hair Dye in color Soft Black from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I was in desperate need of a dye job so this came at the perfect time. This kit comes with everything you need to dye your hair. It's very easy to use and mix. It states that it's an improved experience with a "no-drip texture", which I can tell you is not the case. This hair dye was very messy. It would kind of spritz out of the bottle a little when I turned it upsidedown. The formula is pretty thin and splatters. I was doing a full head so I started with the roots and worked my way to the ends. I left it in for the recommended 25 minutes and then rinsed out. I rinsed this out for more than 5 minutes and the water still wouldn't run clear. After rinsing, my hair felt knotted and damaged, but after applying the Shine Protect Conditioner, my hair felt super soft, hydrated and detangled so easily! The conditioner has a very strong floral scent that fades after rinsing. The hair dye itself was not super stinky like how dyes used to be. When my hair dried, I noticed that my hair is not a soft black, but turned out more auburn and lighter than black. Overall, very disappointed with this product. I would not recommend or buy it again.

I have a light brown hair and wanted to go darker so I decided to try this product. It was easy to apply and not messy, and the conditioner kept my hair soft and shiny and didnt ruin my hair. But the color did not exactly turn out the way I wanted it to. It isnt that much darker and it has a red tint to it that I didn't want. Other than that it was a good product.

Not wanting yellow hair again I let my hair color grow out, cut off until it was my all over silver. I am 63 and have had it natural for over a year now. Feeling old and wanting a change, not wanting to go too dark but not wanting blonde again I tried this 6 1/2G Lightest Golden Brown and I love it. It came out exactly the color in the picture of the model on the box. Maybe it's because the color was applied to my silver hair, but it looks like I have individual strands of bright shiny gold threads woven in my hair, almost like a gold glitter. The color has lightened somewhat after being on for just two weeks but I do wash my hair almost every day. but with each washing I still love the color. I hope L'oreal keeps this color.

However, since my hair was previously colored, it didn't lighten as much as I had hoped. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the results and would recommend this product to others.

As a 51 year old life long red head, I'm used to getting attention. For some years now, this product has made sure I still get noticed. Yesterday while in the post Christmas check-out line, 3 women asked me about my "beautiful" hair color. I shared my thanks for L'Oreal. The woman in the group who was also a redhead asked to take a picture of my hair so she could show the color to her hairdresser. I said certainly, but why not just buy Superior Preference and do it yourself?

I fell in love with this mask number 3, great smell, moisturizes, nourishes hair, which is especially necessary after dyeing. Cons: pungent smell, liquid consistency, when using it there is a high probability of staining everything around. In general, I liked it, I kept the dye on my hair for 7 minutes. The quality of my hair did not suffer.

I was scared if I left it on too long it would be too dark so I didn’t keep it on as long as I should have. Going to do it again for the full time as I would like it to be a bit darker . Easy to use!

I had just bleached my hair and used this over as basically a color deposit however it did not turn out anything like the photo. Granted the results do vary based on your starting color. Overall the application was easy, and my hair did not feel damaged very much which i appreciated. As long as your match your base color to the corresponding outcome you should get something close to the color shown on the box!

I wasn’t sure whether my hair was light enough to be covered with a dark mahogany, but to my surprise it covered my previous color FLAWLESSLY. The smell of the product is very strong so you always need to make sure you’re safe and coloring your hair in a well ventilated area, and always wear the protection gloves that come with the color kit! L’Oreal has always been one of my favorite brands when it comes to hair color, especially because typically I do it at home myself, I’ve always been able to rely on the fact that the process will go smoothly!
