The color spreads easily and develops quickly but I can’t find a decent color anymore. 8G or 9G are too warm 8N or 9N are very dull and blah and 8 1/2A and 9A are too drab and ashy. When will L’Oreal do another Beige Blonde? 9 1/2 BB was my favorite shade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m changing up my L’Oréal hair colors this month and trying Preference. I usually use the excellence line. My color is 9.5A which is the lightest ash blonde. I dyed my hair a week ago and so far so good. Color is shiny and even. It did not dry out my ends at all. I did have to tone a little with purple shampoo but that is due to brassiness that comes out in my hair. It was really easy to use. Clear simple instructions. Would repurchase.

It came 2 boxes of the blond product , with one I have done my head , love, and I will definitely buy it again

I have blondish- light brown hair with some gray strands, which show up as icky yellow gray, urine color gray, not a pleasant gray color, so I’m on a quest to find a decent mask color product. My hairdresser used a semipermanent color that was ok, albeit faint and disappeared not long after applied; he acknowledged that anything different, more defined, would require continued visits to maintain, and I can’t bring myself to pay that much on an ongoing basis. For my latest attempt, I chose this color in 6A as the box claims to minimize red/orange tones, a problem I encountered with all I’ve tried, within a wide variety of home box dyes, different brands, permanent and semi-permanent, colors from 9-7, A, G, AU, and so on (I did not know meaning of A, G, until recently, despite a lot of research), with all ending with some form of noticeable pumpkin or Pekingese dog color hair. I suppose technically it did so far, but it’s only day 2, minimize the red and orange tones although there is some pinkish-orange color, but I don’t look like Cheetohead yet. The smell while processing was horrible, burned my eyes and nose; I did not experience a “new fragrance” noted on box, unless they meant a variation on chemical smell (noticed with 2 of 3 different L’Oréal hair dye products). My hair is silky right now from the conditioner cream, but I’m not really seeing any shine or brilliance. I hope works out, at least on OK level; if so, I will use it as long as possible.

I've been dying my hair for over 20 years now, and well 20 minutes was nowhere near long enough for a root application. It was very easy to use and work through my hair. Super easy to mix and good coverage. Did not leave a bothersome scent after washing, but I think your process time is a tad off.

Going to look into. I have medium brown hair now, so this one is medium brown also. I have used preference before and the always came out awesome. I love how my hair feels after dying it, so soft.

Went to purchase my Auburn Preference hair color. Instead I found 7LA Lightest Auburn, two different models on the front and two different ingredient lists. I’m confused. It takes 2 boxes to do my hair. Which is the oldest product so I know what to buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is perfect for anyone that wants to dye their hair at home. The packaging is great since it advertises what you will be achieving. It’s comes with everything even gloves. The sent is strong but not bad. What can you expect it’s a dye. I especially loved that the conditioner was a great size. Most of the time it’s a small tube but it’s big that you can use it more than once. My hair is a nice soft black and it’s super soft. Highly recommended.

The dye is super strong (ammonia smell) but the conditioner smells great. For the selling price, I think it's a great product, but I would prefer to pay a little more for something less harsh.
