I have been home coloring my hair for over 5 years. I have tried several brands but L'Oreal seems to be the best at covering my grays. I am a natural brunette and often use medium brown shades. I decided to try the new Cool Darkest Brown. I was nervous at first that it would be too dark against my fair skin. I was VERY pleased with the color. It seemed very natural and I have received multiple compliments on it. It's been just over 3 weeks and the grays around my hairline and temples are starting to show but this seems to happen no matter what I try. The one negative for me was that the application process seemed messier than usual. I had many drips during application that fell on my face, clothes, counter, even the floor. I always put a towel around me and wear old clothes. Thank goodness I did otherwise they would have been ruined for sure. That is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4.

Be careful if you have gray! The product details under shade UL61 Hi Lift Ash Brown state that it provides "beautiful gray coverage". Well, I will admit that purple is a pretty color, it's not what I was going for which was Ash Brown. If you have any gray patches be aware that they will be purple after using this product.

This is amazing, I never ever found a blonde color that could lighten my roots without bleach. This one did beautifully. It blended so beautify to. love this color! The one in Rose Gold is my new color, love it!!! Please keep this one in this line forever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried the L’Oreal Paris hair dyes before, but I have never tried the superior preference and it says it’s a new and improved formula and it’s supposed to have a high impact shine last up to nine weeks and covers gray. It is permanent hair color. It’s a three step box that you have your developer or your color gel and then it comes with conditioner. I had medium brown hair and this took me to a dark shiny black I really like how shiny and soft and smooth this hair dye is it’s very beautiful. It does 100% coverage. I had quite a few grays and I had my brown hair which I was sick of this hair dye was a refreshing ultimate black. I was really happy with the results left in for 30 minutes, but it’s always best to do a allergy skin test before doing this. It took two boxes to do my hair and my hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders.

My hair is very long, almost to my hips. And I want to go blonde. I am starting at a dyed #2. My natural color is about a 6. I want to a blonde shade #9-10 range without bleach. Good luck right? Well I am going to try. And my first step in doing so was using this color. I was impresed that it lifted my dyed hair to about 5 range. It IS reddish. That's just part of going blonde slowly. I think it's a good healthy lift of color. I used it for an hour. Hair is drier, but softening with conditioner

I recently colored my hair in the shade Light Reddish Blonde L'Oreal 9 GR. I am very happy with the results. It's recommended to use on blonde to dark blonde hair. My hair was a washed out, light bleachy reddish blonde. I'm really happy with the results, the color and the shine.
