I've had cats my entire life, finding good cat litter that does what I would like it to do is hard. Tidy cats lightweight checks all my boxes. Container isn't too heavy, the scent isn't so bad (my wife and I just grab any lightweight litter so scents change), scooping old litter and changing it out is wicked easy as well, minimum dust, clumps together well. I've been using tidy cats for a long time and I tell new cat owners about it as well.

Not only is it lightweight, I love the way it clumps. It also does not smell as bad when it gets wet. This is the only variety of Tidy Cats I buy now. I can carry twice as many of these up my stairs with no difficulty. There is also less powder getting into the air. My cats prefer this litter now to the old variety. They used the litter box with Pure Nature Alternative twice as much as the old, heavy Tidy Cats. I strongly recommend that you try just one container of this litter to see how much you like it.

This litter is very good with clumping so it allows for easy scooping. It is also great on keeping low odor, 10x better then the average litter. But the light weight and small litter pieces makes a MESS. It gets stuck to her feet and leaves a trail everywhere. I even find pieces in her sleeping spot. It's constant everyday sweeping. Sometimes I have to clean her feet from the litter getting stuck.

I really appreciate the convenience of this litter. Besides being light, it is super absorbent. I use a slotted wire scoop twice a week. Also add some baking soda to help absorb odors as well as add some new litter to replace the volume of litter removed. I have two cats, and three stainless steel trays. NO odor! About every 4-5 months I completely replace all the litter. Much better than clay-based. While more expensive initially, it is basically more cost effective due to it lasting longer.

We tested five different litters when we adopted our two kittens. This one was the best especially for clumping not just their poop, but also their urine which, when clumped, breaks apart into small bits, when we used other clumping litters, that are more difficult to scoop. This lighter litter holds the clumps of urine together much better and makes them easier to scoop.

I was using regular tidy cats multicat, since that was used in the shelter where I adopted my cat. When I saw that there was a lightweight version, I decided to try it. My cat accepted the change with no problems. This is not dust-free, but no more dust than the litter I was using. The clumps seem to hold together better than the previous stuff. And it appears that a bucket of the light weight litter will last as long as a bucket of the heavier stuff.

Really love this light weight litter. Both my husband %26 I are limited on the weight we can lift, so the non- lightweight ones had to be purchased in the smallest containers..the most expensive way. This brand is also low dust %26 does a pretty good job covering any odors.

I use this because I am 80 years old, 5' tall, weight a little over 90 pounds, have 6 cats and used a non-clumping litter for one day and knew it wasn't a product I wanted to deal with. I need a large quantity and regular litter is too heavy for me to even get off a shelf or carry into my house. The greatest problem I have with the lightweight is the price. It is over a dollar a pound and I spend between $40 and $60 per month on it. Very costly but necessary.

it retains the amonia quickly and builds up to where they wont bury their poop and start not using it because it doesnt pass the smell test. I scoop it out twice daily but it doesnt ball up the pee. ok for 1 cat but not more. the amonia irritating my eyes too. Cant keep using.

This cat litter claims to be 99.9% dust free, but I kid you not, every single item in the room where my cats' litter boxes are located is COVERED in a layer of cat litter dust. I can't believe we're breathing this stuff in. It sticks to their feet and their butts and they track it all over the house too. I've been a loyal Tidy Cats customer for years but I'm getting really tired of the amount of dust and litter everywhere.
