Like any other hair dye, I did not expect my hair to come out looking like the box, but something similar and darker (since I have black hair). I've been dying my hair different tones of red (mostly darker reds, never Rihanna scream-out-loud red# and have never used the same hair dye, so I know which hair dye I like, which one works best and which one lasts. I usually use Garnier but I decided to try this one even though it is a tad bit more expensive than Garnier. The Garnier ones always dyes my hair but some of them don't last. I thought that maybe Feria would last and dye my hair, I've never had a red hair dye that hasn't dyed my hair regadless of the fact that it is black. This is the first time a red hair dye did not dye my hair red. Before I used this dye, my hair was a bit of a mix of colors. My tips were light brown, my roots black and everything else was a dark red with some brown #where the red faded). My red hair dye was fading and even though my hair color sounds weird, I thought it was awesome because the brown was where my waves were which added highlights to the red and the black faded into my red/brown dyed hair so it didnt look weird. After this dye, my hair was all one color, usually when I dye my hair, because of the different colors, some parts will turn out more red than others, and even then it still looked awesome. This hair dye turned my whole hair one color, a super dark red black. You can only see the red in the sun, as a tint, but overall, it just looks black. At first, as I was reading reviews and after opening the box, there was warning that says that I want to have the color on the box, I need to mix in ALL contents. So I thought that the other reviewers didn't mix all of the contents in because it comes with the developing bottle/cream, general tinted hair dye bottle, oil mix, and another red hair dye tube. The red was not mixed in with the generally used hair dye bottle. This was a bit weird, as no other hair dyes had this, the hair dye was always mixed before hand and only came in one hair dye bottle. When I put in the hair dye from the bottle, I realized it looked like it was a brown hair dye....so it turned me off a bit but then I put in the red hair dye from the tube and it looked super red and saturated so I thought that it wouldn't be a problem. Well, the red didn't dye my hair, it seems like, more like just coated it with red mixed with brown to make my whole hair darker. Usually red hair dyes, lightens my hair and coats it with red color, not just coat it with both red and brown. I was really dissapointed. I wouldn't recommend this hair dye, the company needs to revisit this formula because it just does not work like how it should. I will wait for this hair dye to fade then dye it with another brand, I will go back to Garnier unless I feel adventurous again and go try something else. On another note, all of the 500+ reviews from the Loreal website, is not for this color. All of those reviews are for the every color in the Feria line, so even though this is still a bad hair dye, don't be offset by the mixed reviews from the other different colors. Walmart needs to change the Feria color reviews from Loreal to only have the one for the exact colors, not the whole Feria hair dye website.

If there is such a thing as too pigmented color, this would definitely be the closest thing I've ever used to it. Not necessarily a bad thing, just don't use your best, crisp white towels immediately after because your water/towels will look like a murder scene for at least the first ten washes after. I've washed mine at least 25 times since I dyed it last, which I did over a very light color, and my water still doesn't run clear lol. As far as staying power, this has outlasted MANY other brands, and even outlasted salon visit colors for me.

With that being said, I have to start by saying I have been a HUGE fan of L'Oréal for years! They are the only brand I trust when it comes to at home box dye. I have been using the L'Oréal Feria line for years, and have tried many different hair colors over the years. The color I got this time was the strawberry blonde, and I love it! The reason why I love this brand when it comes to box dye is because the color always turns out on me the way it is pictured. The instructions are always easy to follow. Even though I have been dying my own hair at home for years, their instructions are easy enough, that someone who has never dyed their own hair at home would be able to follow. The mixture also doesn't have a strong and overpowering smell. The formula is smooth and not messy. When I dye my hair, my hair feels soft and manageable, and doesn't feel damaged. I also like how the box has everything you need. I have medium shoulder length hair, and one box is enough for me. As for the color, this strawberry blonde color is so pretty! Some strawberry blonde colors can look brassy, but not this one! This one has a bit of a pink tone, so it leaves the hair a beautiful color. As someone who has tried a lot of hair dyes, and has dyed my hair many different colors over the years, I would absolutely recommend this brand for your at home hair dye needs!

I am a natural dark blonde in my 40's and this color has become my go to after going to salons and spending toms of money. It lifts and lightens, great gray coverage and I constantly get compliments from people thinking i get highlights which I love the most. i highly recommend this for all blondes!

By far one of the best colours I've dyed my hair! I actually went to a hairdresser 2 years ago for a purple like this, turned out very dark and only purple in sunlight. This box dye produced an amazing purple that is still light enough indoors and so vibrant in daylight.

I have been paying salon prices anywhere from 60.00 to 100.00 for single process blonde. During COVID I decided to try at home hair color and this product Freia 100 very light blonde worked perfectly! I do have about 30% gray hair which it covered.

I have been using Feria Power Red R57 for a year and a half. Every time I go out someone has a comment on how much they love my hair color. I love Feria because the color lasts and lasts and for reds, that is phenominal. They usually fade in two weeks and I can go 6 weeks between coloring and could go longer if it weren't for my white roots showing. That's right, my natural hair is white. I am 72 years old and this hair color makes me look at least 10 years younger. It makes me feel good about my appearance and that feeling shows in my demeanor. I believe the true color comes through on my hair because it is not covering color, it has a color free palate to enable the vibrance of the color to emerge. It may behoove you to advertise these beautiful, bold colors for older women who want to be bold as well.

I have always used feria and never had an issue. This color is really a rare find for someone who dyes their hair a lot. Usually red fades super quickly but not this shade. My hair turned out healthier after dying which is also super rare! Great for price. Only suggestion is that you buy two boxes.

My hair was multicolored. I had dark brown roots and light brown/white blonde ends. It was a mess. I used 2 boxes of the Smokey Pink, and before applying it, did a strand test on the light brown/white blonde part of my hair. I was satisfied with how it looked, and so I ended up putting it all over my head, including my roots. I was a little more than surprised when I washed the dye out and my roots were light brown with hints of purple in them...I had only left the dye on for 20-30 minutes. The blonde parts of my hair are indeed smokey pink and I was not surprised to see that the dye didn't take to the light brown all that well. It's a colorful mess but I love it. As someone who has experience in coloring her hair weird shades, I do have some recommendations. Bleach your hair before coloring. As this is PASTEL dye, it is imperative that your hair be the lightest color of blonde possible. No brassy tones, no yellow pigments. If your hair is blonde already, I still advise you to bleach it beforehand. I've yet to see how this dye fades, but I'll enjoy the color while it lasts.

I always use this brand no matter the color I pick I've been now dying my hair and using this brand 14 years with no hair damage no breakage not a problem I do wish I didn't have to buy more then one box tho I'd love to see them give you more in one box for the hair dying process. Other then that I love the colors the vibes I get from my skin tones always match well.
