I bought the product because it showed that it would give bright red color on black hair. I followed the directions exactly, the only way you can see any color is if bright light hits it. Total waste of time and money!

I had a dark-ish brown in my hair, and it was fading too quickly and getting reddish. I decided to try this color because it was a COOL brown, which I should have tried a long time ago. I used this color twice, but after the third time, it got super brassy for some reason. I liked it initially, but I don't think I'll be using it again.

I tried to use this product, to cover a small bleached section of my hair that I dyed blue, but had faded almost completely. This did next to nothing to cover the blonde/greenish color that my hair was previously. I think it was a waste of almost 12 dollars, unfortunately.

I think it did amazing on my dark almost black hair I didn't bleach it or add any product to make my hair lighter I just put on and waited and boom red hair I love the results too

Thank you thank you thank you! I had this great notion that I absolutely wanted to be a bleached blonde (natural ginger, dyed black at the time). Wrong. Definitely not me. My hair went through heck and back until I found this color. I assume since I was working with a blonde train wreck, I achieved the color on the box and I am totally in love with it. I am thanking the hair gods for this color today! And ladies, anything with the word "auburn" in it has a chance to turn your hair purple. Be careful in selecting your red hue! This worked beautifully on me, but may look different on darker hair.

I have been wanting to dye my hair for such a long time.I was so excited when i was dying my hair but after i washed it I was so disappointed that it turned out black and it turns out that my hair only shows up a little bit of red in the sun.So unless you are an outside person I would NOT recommend this product at all because it is just a big disappointment and a waste of money!

I really love this color. I have been dyeing my hair a bright, coppery auburn for months, but I realized that it wasn't my color so I wanted it darker. Upon drying my hair, I saw that it gave me a beautiful brunette and when reflected in sunshine, there were gorgeous auburn highlights. One thing I didn't enjoy so much was the condition it put my hair into. Half of my hair is previously bleached, damaged hair and normally other dyes nourish my damaged ends, but this one brought out the damage even more. It took me a couple days to get my ends feeling less damaged. Other than that, beautiful color result, I'll definitely use it again despite the fact that I have to cope with the damage it brings out.

Overall I was happy with the result. It gave my normally dark brown hair some extra body and shine. The color was not terribly off from the box color. It was closer to a burgundy than violet but still pretty. However I did finally find the color I wanted at Sally's. I highly recommend trying Age Beautiful Hair Color Dark Plum Brown 3V or Plum Black 1V. These were true to color!

i use the violet soft black in the picture it looks like a dark kind of blue black but when i did my dark hair which i only wanted to make darker my hair came out burgundy and i hate it this is falls advertisement. i hate it.

So i just used the cherry crush color..and i have never been more disappointed. i have always used loreal hair color and this color didn't even show up, i have dark brown hair so i understand that it wouldn't have came out as vibrant as the actual box color, but this one did NOTHING. I have used the same brand in all different colors and i have never had any issues with going to light from dark, so i don't understand why this didn't work. EXTREMELY upset that i wasted my time on this :(
