The fórmula feels confortable and flexible on my nails allowing for natural movement without chipping easily. The scent is not too strong, and the lightweight finish lets my nails feel confortable and breathable. Overall, It provides beautiful color and lasting wear that I would definitely use again. It offers good support for my nails.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love Essie Ballet Slippers because the color is beautiful, a soft, classic pink that looks elegant and natural. The bottle is nice and the shade itself is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the formula was incredibly thin. Even after 3-4 coats, it still looked streaky and uneven. By the time I finally got decent coverage, I had spent way more time than I ever want to on a manicure. The biggest disappointment was that after letting it dry for about two hours, I thought it was completely set. Instead, the polish slid right off my nails and smudged terribly. Maybe this polish requires 5 ultra-thin coats with extensive drying time between each layer, but honestly, who has time for that? The color is gorgeous, but the application process was frustrating.

I love the color, but, like others, find the application wanting. No matter how careful I am, there are streaks. The reason I'm writing this is to let others know about a similar shade that goes on much better. It's by Sally Hansen, in the Pure line, and the color is Pink Cloud. It's a tiny bit more pink than Ballet Slippers, but the finished effect is much the same, that somewhat sheer, clean look that we love.
