Bought this because sometimes i don't need my big stand mixer to whip up eggs, meringues or toppings. My grandmother's stand mixer started it all for us and now i'm passing the KitchenAid tradition down to my children. Recipes always turn out better when they are properly mixed whether creaming butter and sugar in the stand mixer or whipping egg whites with this 9-speed hand mixer. Quality ingredients is only part of the equation, you need quality equipment and KitchenAid has always delivered on that expectation.

It doesn't feel any different than my 10 year old 5 speed mixer but was double the price. KA also took two months to charge me for the order. This was meant to be an upgrade but leaves a lot to be desired.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Funny you should ask. I just used the mixer for the third time and was very disappointed when the whisk attachment separated from its shaft!! When I ejected the shaft, it remained in the mixer so I grasped it and burned my thumb! Please replace the whisk attachment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good, I replaced older hand mixer that I used to death. I like this one except the off / on button is a bit hard to push. It may get easier with use. Love the 9 speeds but it seems a little sluggish, not sure yet though, will use it more to determine this. I have only used it a few times. Love all the accessories, I will use every one of them. Hope to grow to love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used Kitchen Aid but zinc am disappointed on this mixer. I really dislike the on/off speed control. I will be looking for a different one and give away my Kitchen Aid Aid. Very disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a short time ago and have used it mainly for pudding and eggs. It works great. I have a little trouble putting the attachments in the holes and snapping into place, but it is probably user error. The many speeds and attachments are very helpful. I bought the flex edge beaters to go with it and they work great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my KitchenAid handmixer for many many years and absolutely loved it! I was thrilled when my daughter presented me with a new one in which I had requested since mine was so old and one of the beaters were slightly bent. I have to say that I am disappointed, thus the three star instead of five. The manner in which you turn it on is almost backwards and the only way to turn it off is the same. Once you turn it on it always starts in a very low speed and you have to push and up button for it to graduate to a higher speed, fromhere youmay turn it off but once you turn it back on, it comes on at a very low speed and you have to push the up button usually several times for the speed of which you were at previously(say you had to pause the mixing). Also, I noticed that the body material is a more hollow sounding plastic. Super disappointed. I told my family I wouldn't have anything less than another Kitchenaid. Hmm...

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have been wanting a hand mixer for a while. This one, with the 9 speed was ideal for me as it contained a few different attachment. Most, I thought would be useless. But. I am amazed how well the plastic mix thing works. Great for little drinks and fun things. The dual twisty thinks worked well for mixing in the chips for the oatmeal cookies which were baked on the smoker. Yum. Overall the 9 speed are enough. My only negative point would be the too bright LEDs...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This KitchenAid hand mixer is well made and functions well, and is of considerably better quality than a less expensive model I bought from your company several years ago. It is a bit heavy for me, which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars.
