My skin is very sensitive so I must use Williams Electric Shave. I used a Braun Razor for many years but decided to try something new. The 9000 provides a very close shave.

This is by far the best electric shaver I have ever purchased,and used. It is great for a really nice close shave, as long as you know how to use an electric shaver (surprising how many men don't!). I have a very thick stubble and this unit is quite able to cope with a 4day growth if I have a nice wet shave with it. Have still not been able to manage to shave within the 3 minutes it says it should be able to do. Not bothered about that though. As soon as I'm done then it goes in for a clean, which is very refreshing for the next day. I would certainly recommend this product for a middle aged gentleman or a younger gentleman just starting out. I have no issues with this at all 😁🙌🏼👍🏼 Regards K.........

Who ever thought you'd need a manual to fully understand how to use an electric razor? My new series 9000 certainly did and it's surprising how much functionality there is hidden in it's depths. Whether it will all be so fascinating in the longer term remains to be seen, but, for the moment, there are some useful features, as there are with the advent of so many 'smart' devices. In the end, it's an electric razor which I use everyday and it certainly gives a much better shave than my previous (12 year old) razor despite regularly replacing the head unit. The lit pressure sensor system seems to assure a more complete and better shave which is what one is always looking for. It's too early to say whether it'll stand the test of time. The charging cable is way too short - yes, I understand the safety issues - and I can no longer use the razor charging point in the bathroom which is a definite niggle. Unlike the previous razor, however, the fast charging is a real plus. The cleaning pod is a significant improvement on the old version I used with my previous razor. Replacement pods, however, seem very expensive for what they are. Bottom line is that is a great razor that I enjoy using.

The overall shave is great, and if you take your time, it's almost as close as a blade. however, 2 concerns on the design 1. the rotating blades are too far back to perform a decent shave underneath the nose - the "bezel" is too wide, I feel. 2. the way I hold shaver, my thumb can (and often does) press the opening mechanism and stubble residue is tipped into the sink/down my chin unintentionally.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the shaver and its accompanying app, I appreciate the information they provide about my shaving habits. However, I noticed that I need to shave more deeply than anticipated, which caused some peeling of my skin. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that the cleaner pod lacks a dry function, unlike previous models.

The Razor and Cleaning System are very good, however the new upgraded software for the smartphone is terrible. The old software was great so why change something that worked just fine? I'm getting close to the stage where I'll just use the razor and cleaning system without the software.

I have always used Philip shavers and will continue to do so, they are the best. This is an excellent product and I would have given 5 Stars had it not been for the side trimmer. I found this to be ineffective and nowhere near as good as my previous Philips shaver which I have had for 10yrs. The shave is excellent and close and takes into account sensitive skin. The cleaning system is really effective as well. Overall, another quality product from Philips.

This shaver is giving me a closer shave than wet shaving. I have suffered in my later years with a shaving rash on my neck and chin, with this shaver I have no such problems. I use a pre-electric shaving lotion and shave under my chin and on my upper cheeks. I have a close trimmed beard and moustache. Shaving takes me less than two minutes, I don't have any discomfort and I'm left with smooth skin. I have had Philips shavers for many years, this shaver is far away the best I have had. I would recommend this to anyone.

The new S9000 has several new features which help to give me my closest shave for years! I like the lighting display which ensures I apply the correct pressure whilst shaving - and also the easy to use washing reservoir system which I've been using every other day!
