With a valid proof of purchase, almost anything purchased from Walmart, whether in-store or on Walmart.ca*, can be returned or exchanged within 90 days,
- Walmart.ca purchases: The Walmart Canada Standard Return Policy outlined in this document applies to purchases that are sold and shipped by Walmart, as well as Marketplace items shipped and fulfilled by Walmart from inside Canada.
This policy does not apply to:
- purchases that are fulfilled by Walmart from outside Canada. These items have a 30-day return window and cannot be returned to a store. Returns must be started through Walmart.ca or the app. Final sale items follow the same category rules outlined in this policy.- purchases that are both sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers; please consult the Marketplace Return Policy.
Oversized items (larger than 40” x 48”) and overweight items (weighing more than 100 lbs), such as full-size mattresses and large appliances, purchased on Walmart.ca cannot be returned in-store and require a scheduled return delivery.
Item exchange eligibility follows this Walmart Canada Standard Return Policy. If an item is not eligible for a return, it will not be eligible for an exchange.
Timeframes:
- Online purchases: the return timeframe begins on the date of your order’s arrival.
- In store purchases: the return timeframe begins on the purchase date.
During the holidays, the Holiday Return Policy may extend the return periods.

- Products containing flammable components (Fuel, Motor Oil, Paints, Additives, Cleaners)
