[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried every other brand of 100% cotton percale sheets and have found none better than Bare Home. They are cool and crispy like percale is supposed to be. Many other brands, including those endorsed by ratings websites, are too soft and flimsy. Bare Home is my go to brand of sheets.

We got these sheets because we're always hot at night. These sheets are breathable and we're sleeping much better. They've held up well with washings. Wash cold, dry on very low and take them out while they're still a little damp. I put them on our beds and they dry out by bedtime. Cuts down on the wrinkles.

A quick background before reviewing the sheets...  OK, maybe not so quick :)  Scroll down if you just the review of these sheets...When it comes to figuring out the quality of sheets, I read that you want to stop equating thread count with quality because... many manufacturers use inferior thread just to get thread count up.  Thread 'quality' (versus count), the type of cotton, and the overall weight of the sheets are closer surrogates for quality.Egyptian or Pima (aka Supima) is a long staple cotton --  the gold standard in terms of durability.  I read Pima cotton is the same species as Egyptian cotton, just grown in the US (and usually less).As to weight, scroll down below the listing and the weight of the set (independent of wrapping used to ship) is listed.  Most percale sets weigh between 3.5- 4-ish pounds.  Occasionally you'll run across one closer to 5.  Sateen sheets: higher thread count/weigh more.  If you're in a store, debating between two sets, you can get a general sense of quality by holding a set in your hands getting an idea of which one weighs more.  Generally speaking, the less expensive the sheet, the less it tends to weigh.Most sheets are made with chemicals.  Chemicals to make them less wrinkly, etc.  If you buy 100% organic cotton, and/or sheets certified by Oeka Tex (no chemical detection), that's how you know you aren't being exposed to chemicals. Which, if you think about your nose being up close to something treated with chemicals, for hours every night, it's kinda a deal.  I read reviews of people whose mystery symptoms (sore throat, etc.) disappeared once they switched to 100% organic cotton sheets (or those Oeka-Tex certified).Percale refers to the weave (one over, one under), versus sateen (one over, three under).  Percale is known to sleep cooler than sateen, to which I can attest.Most 100% cotton percale sheets top out at 300 tc.  These particular sheets are lightweight, at 200 tc (can see through them).  And yes, percale wrinkles.  Anything 100% cotton does.  100% cotton sateen sheets wrinkle less than percale.As to care..  anything made of 100% cotton is supposed to avoid harsh chemicals and bleach.  Which means, using a separate detergent than you use for your clothes.  I bought Le Blanc Linen Wash on Bare Home (Original scent).  Before gasping at the price, couple of things.  First, I experimented with quantity used to wash, starting with what the bottle recommends.  Got it down to 3 capfuls, that does a great job.  And the bonus?  Your sheets and entire bedroom will have this wonderfully clean scent that lasts all the way up until you're ready to wash the sheets again.  Well worth the buy.To minimize shrinkage, wrinkling and to ensure durability, wash/dry all cotton sheets on cold (delicate).  I read you want to wash sheets on their own.  Washing with clothing creates a slight friction against the sheets that can result in pilling.  Less of an issue w/ percale than sateen.The other recommendation I read is to load each sheet piece separately (instead of a wadded up ball).Dry on cold (delicate), with wool balls (lot of choices on Bare Home).  These help accelerate drying and kinda fluff the sheets.  And, contain no chemicals (like tennis balls).  Drying on cold still dries the sheets (and is your best shot at not shrinking 100% cotton).  Lastly, if you want to minimize wrinkles, grab 'um right when the dryer is done, then make the bed.Onto these particular sheets...The 'windowpane' design on this sheet has precise lines; other sheets with this design use a bolder line.  While I don't have an 18' mattress, it's obvious these would easily fit 18'.  There are no labels indicating 'head/foot' but, plenty of fabric to tuck at food end, and hang down on both sides.If you are looking for a lightweight, breathable sheet and..  you like a more natural, cottony look for your bed, and you're okay with wrinkling, percale sheets are your sheet, and this is a great choice.

If you're looking for high thread count silky smooth sateen sheets, these are not the sheets for you. If you're looking for crisp, lightweight, breathable cotton sheets that keep you cool, these are PERFECT. I bought the dusty rose. It's a warm, earthy pink; exactly the colour I was looking for. They look beautiful with my chocolate brown linen duvet cover. They come nicely packaged in a cotton tote bag.

These sheets are fantastic and exactly what I was looking for. They fit my bed perfectly, but I do wish the top sheet was just a little larger. That's not enough to keep me away from these! Very comfortable and they BREATHE.True percale wrinkles, so expect it.The benefit of comfortable crisp sheets outweighs the silly wrinkles.

Stiff crisp precal sheets. Hems on the sheets are sewn well. Would compare to threshold brand or even pre recall fieldcrest brand sheets. IMO they are a solid buy. If you want quality sheets without paying boll and branch prices these are a good choice.

These arrived promptly and were the exact color I'd expected.  When I took them out, they did feel quite thin compared to a set I bought at Daniadown that were only a 200 thread count.  These are supposed to be 300 so I don't know if that's the difference.  They feel lovely but have not been used or washed yet so I can't really give a full review.  I DO expect them to wrinkle though, cotton always does. I have no problem with that.

I was excited to receive these percale sheets. They felt great out of the package, silky and smooth. Then I washed them per care instructions. They weren't the same. They were quite rough like canvass. My son compared them to a painters dropcloth. I returned them.

These sheets are worthless.  I plan to donate them to SPCA for their use with the animals.The sheets were wrinkled when rec'd and after washing, became even more wrinkled.  I had made the bed and the pillow cases appeared to be a lighter shade of grey than the sheets. They were also wrinkled.  Undeterred, I made it thru nite one and tho' it was not uncomfortable, it rankled me that Bare Home would do business with this kind of fabric mfgr.  The info provided said that they were Percale....they are not.Atleast the puppies at the pound will make good use of them.

The organic cotton percale is unbreathable in my opinion. I am instantly sweating upon contact with this sheet. Sadly returns are impossible because they ask that the product is unused. So once you try the sheet you are stuck with it! I will not be buying from this company again.
