I was eager to try this weight bar.  I just finished physical therapy and wanted to continue at home. My therapist used a bar similar to this but it didn't have any weight. I feel like I got just as good of a work out with this as I did with my physical therapist. My arms are sore.  I do think it is expensive considering it is one five pound weight which means I have to buy another to add weight.

I was impressed with the quality of this weighted bar. The rod is covered in a foam neoprene-like finish for easy gripping. The diameter of the rod is larger than I anticipated by looking at the photos.  Pleased with the purchase and I might buy other weight selections now that I see how nice this one is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a pretty color. It's evenly weighted as a nice foam around the bar which it's easy to grip. My husband won't even try it because it's so much bigger than the one he used in rehab. He's very weak. He's afraid he won't be able to hold it up. It's a very nice bar, though if you were just gonna buy it to work out with, but I'm thinking about sending it back.
