I own a small bike shop, so have used your bottles for many years. Always great quality, with lots of options! Thanks for the great service!

Jackie/Chase Cyclery

I own a small bike

camelbak.com

The design update addresses a problem I've always had getting a Camelbak bottle out of the cage without a death grip. That and the valve mod that is easier to keep clean, always hated the mold growing in places you couldn't get to. Good to know someone actully listens to their customers. Highly recommended.

Get A Grip

I love these Podium bottles. Mainly because of how soft the plastic is compared to other bottles. You don't have to have an iron grip to get a drink of water. I also like the nozzle/top. Keep it locked and no spilling, but while open its super easy to take a drink and not have to pull open a top every time. Good stuff. About to purchase another set.

Great bottles

This is the perfect solution for the way I go to the gym. i stick the bottle on my bag and know it won't leak...as long as I remember to turn the top to the closed position. It's strong enough to holdup in the bag where I throw other things.
I have one for my bike, but never thought about using these bottles in the gym. And I got bright colors (got 2 of them) so I won't forget to pick them up from the equipment I am using. At least that is the hope.

Perfect for my use

Got the bottles quickly and brand new. Color is correct and Podium bottles have worked well for me. What I didn't know is that they aren't insulated. I assumed that these were insulated like the other Podium bottles I've used for a couple years now. They're just ordinary, thin plastic walled bottles. That's okay, but kind of unexpected. Overall, happy with purchase.

Good Bottles

I love this bottle except for one thing: the outside is so smooth that I struggle to get it out of the bottle cage. It just needs a little texture added to the mid/upper section to fix the problem. Other than that I love this bottle. It does not make the water taste like plastic even on hot days and does not leak. I ride often and for many years. Other than the grip issue this is the best bike bottle I have had.

needs to be more grippable

I fell in love with the one way valve in the lid years ago. I have no use for the locking function but otherwose the lid and valve are the only reason I am willing to pay this much for a water bottle. It doesn't leak or spil. It can be disassembled and cleaned. The bottle is a bit rigid to squeeze and has thin spost that are ramdom so I doubt they are intended as flex points.

It's about the valve in the lid and nothing more

The new lid assembly that comes apart is great for cleaning. (Do be careful to not lose small parts down the drain.) However, the bottle shape has been slightly revised and now the bottles will occasionally eject. The previous design never ejected. For me, the loss of a water bottle can be dangerous.

New! Dis-improved!

I cycle frequently and I prefer CamelBak over other bottle options and own many CamelBak bottles. I also only use the insulated bottles. The 24oz white speckle regular pictures shows the insulated bottle and still does as of this writing. The bottle looks nothing like the picture and the delivered bottles are transparent and not insulated. The insulated bottle in white is clearly white with speckles where the non-insulated one is clear plastic with speckles. Hence I returned it. Hopefully they read this review and correct the pictures.

Poor product descriptions

I finally bought some fresh new Podium bottles to replace the three that I had which I estimate I've rotated between using everyday for the last 9-10 years (clearly I loved the bottle). Much to my disappointment upon receiving the new bottles, they were nothing like my original bottles and the design has gone TERRIBLY downhill since I first purchased the Camelbak Podium bottle. All indentations and ridges that used to be around the outside-middle of the bottle and lid for enhanced grip during everyday or wet conditions had been replaced with a smooth, slippery surface. The locking feature on the lid is now a hard, sharp plastic that is difficult to grip and turn, as opposed to the more rounded and softer locking mechanism from before. But the worst part is the awful new spout design which squirts a wider stream of water than before and does not shoot in a straight or even flow. I've always drank from these bottles by tipping the bottle down above my open mouth and squirting water in, but when doing that with the new Podium bottles, water mists and splashes all over my face and chin, forcing me to wipe my mouth area after every single use which is terribly annoying. Safe to say I went back to my 10-year-old bottles!!

When I ordered my 3 new bottles, only 2 came in the package and I had to work with customer service to get my third bottle shipped... just further disappointment in the apparent state of the company/brand.

Old design was MUCH better

CamelBak Podium 24oz Bottle centered front view with squeezable contoured body and high-flow Jet Valve silicone cap featuring positive lock-out; TruTaste polypropylene construction, 24 oz (0.71 L) capacity and 9.0 in (22.8 cm) height, designed for secure bike-cage fit and rapid hydration and often used to carry small tools or energy gels on rides.
