This comforter is made with soft, plush microfiber fill, a high quality polyester that's meant to mimic the softness of down. The shell is soft 300 thread count cotton.Microfiber doesn't have the same insulating properties as down, so microfiber comforters are heavier weight. A fair bit of fill is required to achieve the desired warmth. One benefit of a synthetic comforter is that it can be machine washed at home, given your machine is quite large and you wash/dry on a low heat setting. Natural down and feather are sensitive to moisture, but polyester is not!

Comfort

Made with high-grade components and build.

I love my new duvet. I had a serta down filled one previously but was time to replace. This one was a great decision. It's so comfortable and cozy. I've been sleeping so much better, and longer since I got this. It is very warm and I have no need for extra blankets. I was hesitant to buy thinking it'd be like a light polyester comforter, but it's not at all like that. I already can't wait to go to sleep again tonite. It's soft and fluffy too, I like to bunch it up and hug/spoon it and it is the comfiest thing ever.

Too busy sleeping to write a review

canadiandownandfeather.com

This duvet is the perfect duvet. It's lightweight, and you do not overheat. This company has been a pleasure to deal with. Fast delivery, with personalized thank you's. So far, the quality is fantastic. I also love that this is a Canadian company, rather than items being made in China.

Great Duvet!

I have been looking for the perfect duvets for my children and my search has been successful thanks to this company. The product is very well made and there attention to detail (duvet ties for the covers) is perfect! Having the option to machine wash when young kids use them is so convenient. I will be purchasing more in the near future!

Kid friendly

We were on the hunt to find this duvet once we had a chance to experience it at the Green Mountain Inn -Stowe, VT. It is so soft and keeps us at a comfortable temperature all night long. It has really helped us to get a better night's sleep.

We had to call to verify which product the inn uses and I can't say enough good things about our experience with The Canadian Down and Feather Company. From our telephone conversation to determine which product to purchase and your easy to use website to your fast shipping and sweet thank you card, the customer service has been top notch!

We like the duvet so much that we just ordered pillows too.

The Gel Microfiber Down Alternative Duvet is just what we needed!

I used to think I only liked feather duvets, however I was getting fed up with feathers coming through, and wanted something more easily washable since I have a big dog who occasionally jumps on my bed, and something less expensive. I found this at Costco, and checked out the reviews on this website. Having purchased (and loved!) Canadian Down and Feather Company pillows in the past, I was so happy to find this! I often get hot when I sleep, and worried this may be too hot, but it is perfect. I love everything about it. It feels like a good quality down duvet, expect it cost a fraction, and I can wash it as often as I need. Canadian Down and Feather Company also provided amazing customer service when I had questions about delivery, especially since I ordered through Costco and not directly with them. I will definitely buy again!

I LOVE this duvet!

After sifting through the vast offerings of duvets on larger online marketplaces, I was so pleased to come across this company. I switched from a down duvet to this gel microfiber and didn't know what to expect. I am so happy with it and would recommend this duvet to anyone looking for a quality, all-season duvet.

So Happy With Our New Duvet

Dear People at Canadian Down & Feather Company -

we just received our order, and I just have to tell you what a pleasure it has been dealing with your company. The duvets look and feel very nice, and we look forward to sleeping under them tonight. Your service is tops, from chatting with "Gwen" when I had a question, to receiving the duvets today together with a nice personal card and a colouring book and pencils - small gestures, totally unexpected and just so very nice in the difficult time we are currently living through. My husband and I are "very senior" citizens, so may not need replacement duvets in our lifetime, but be assured that we will sing your praises to our family and friends!

Thank you sincerely, and best wishes for a hopefully much improved year 2021!

two twin-size duvets

Feels great, but the construction is questionable. Just as Rebecca has mentioned below, small bits of stuffing were in the side stitching of the duvet - albeit I've only had it for a few days and haven't even washed it. Therefore, can't rate it more than a 3.

Nice duvet, questionable construction

Just received. Ordered 3 off Costco online. The description did not say where it was made so I came to this website and saw that this was a Canadian company with products made in Canada. Was disappointed to see the tag say made in China. Was comparing with another brand and chose this one specifically because I thought it was Canadian made.

Disappointed not made in Canada

I purchased this duvet online believing it was 'Made in Canada'. I thought this due to the company name along with nothing I could find on the website that indicated different. Received today and the tag attached to the duvet states 'Made in China'. I am disappointed to find this out and feel mislead.

Thought it was made in Canada?
