This comforter is made with soft, plush microfiber fill, a high quality polyester that's meant to mimic the softness of down. The shell is soft 300 thread count cotton.Microfiber doesn't have the same insulating properties as down, so microfiber comforters are heavier weight. A fair bit of fill is required to achieve the desired warmth. One benefit of a synthetic comforter is that it can be machine washed at home, given your machine is quite large and you wash/dry on a low heat setting. Natural down and feather are sensitive to moisture, but polyester is not!

I love my new duvet. I had a serta down filled one previously but was time to replace. This one was a great decision. It's so comfortable and cozy. I've been sleeping so much better, and longer since I got this. It is very warm and I have no need for extra blankets. I was hesitant to buy thinking it'd be like a light polyester comforter, but it's not at all like that.  I already can't wait to go to sleep again tonite. It's soft and fluffy too, I like to bunch it up and hug/spoon it and it is the comfiest thing ever.

After sifting through the vast offerings of duvets on larger online marketplaces, I was so pleased to come across this company. I switched from a down duvet to this gel microfiber and didn't know what to expect. I am so happy with it and would recommend this duvet to anyone looking for a quality, all-season duvet.

I absolutely love my duvet, it is so comfortable and the quality is outstanding. I also have to add that I am blown away by the wonderful customer service!! I made a mistake with my order and they got back to me right away and helped me to resolve it with ease. They are so kind! Even during a pandemic, my order was delivered quickly and without issue. AND they even sent it with a hand written card, colouring book and pencil crayons, such a sweet and thoughtful touch. This company is incredible! Definitely a company I will stick with!

AMAZING PRODUCT! AMAZING COMPANY!

I absolutely love my new bedding! The quality and workmanship is superb! I bought the microfiber gel because you can wash it. My adult son thought it was actually down when he felt it. The duvet has elastic at the corners so you can tie it in to a duvet cover.The personal note inside is a nice touch as well as the adult colouring book and coloured pencils. As if I need an excuse to stay in my nice comfy bed lol I highly recommend this company and their products. Don't hesitate to buy from this company. I also love the fact that it is also a Canadian company!!

Microfiber gel duvet feather bed and 2 pillows

Honestly, just get this duvet! You will not regret it. I came across this company randomly through a catalogue and wow I will never buy pillows or duvets anywhere else. The product is so high end, its fluffy and warm yet cool on the outside if you like to cuddle with it like I do :) Its very well made, you can see the quality. And the macrofibre gel is so great! I think that's what's keeping it so cool on the outside.
So, if you are searching for a great duvet save yourself time and just get this one, you will love it!

LOVE IT!

I had no idea it was possible to get a fluffy down quality duvet without it actually being down. This duvet is amazing. You wont be disappointed!!

I love it so much I later bought the gel mattress topper and feel like Im sleeping in a cloud.

The customer service has been great too. Everything has come quickly, well packaged and there has been follow up emails to ensure QA.

This Duvet is Amazing!!

It is amazingly warm and fluffy. The quality and price (Christmas sale) were so good that after I tried it out for a few nights, I bought another one for my 98 year old grandma so that she can have a warm winter blanket that is light enough for her. The Canadian Down & Feather Company even hand wrote me a cute little thank you card for buying their duvet. It shows that they really take pride in their products and goes the extra mile to provide good service as well. I would definitely consider buying other products from them for my family and I.

Amazingly warm, fluffy and light

I've been on the journey towards the perfect duvet for some years now; I've tried expensive and cheaper duvets, several down-feather combinations and various seasonal weights.  It was a stay at a Fairmont hotel that introduced me to the gel microfiber duvet:  light, like goose down and fluffy like feather, warm and yet ... not too warm; in other words, the perfect duvet.  I can attest to the all season weight, it's been perfect for August's hot summer nights and September's cool autumn ones; I've no worries about it being warm enough for winter.  I ordered queen for my queen sized modern (no box spring) bed, and it's the perfect size.  No issues with delivery; arrived right on time.

Hotels can't be wrong ...

Feels great, but the construction is questionable.  Just as Rebecca has mentioned below, small bits of stuffing were in the side stitching of the duvet - albeit I've only had it for a few days and haven't even washed it.  Therefore, can't rate it more than a 3.

Nice duvet, questionable construction

I've had this for less than a year, I've only washed it on cold and gentle and only once, and hung to dry. Every time I remove the cover to wash the cover, I find both sides of the duvet covered in little balls of stuffing. There are small pinprick holes on the blanket, which I assume is where the stuffing came from. There is nothing sharp on my bed, and the stuffing isn't feathers, so I can't imagine what is pulling the stuffing.
3 stars because it is a warm and comfortable blanket.
