This product provides great value, especially when it goes on sale. They are quite comfortable. I've bought these or similar items from Hanes in the past, and I found them durable, although they do become somewhat less comfortable after several dozen washes.

Excellent value for comfortable underwear

I like that they have a good stretch and stay in place without riding up. The waistband is snug but not too tight. Overall, they're simple, reliable, and a great everyday choice.

Not a bad item, but I think there are better options

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically like Hanes products, but these were too long. It felt like I had shorts on under my jeans. When selecting underwear I typically look for shorter inseams so they don’t bunch up when I get dressed. The breath ability was fine, even for Texas heat. The length just made them less comfortable than I like. I like underwear that I forget having on. I knew these were there all day. The thighs are also sized for men with smaller thighs than mine. I have a 34” waist and 25 inch quads/thighs. Everything fits me tightly there, though. Not a big deal.

They live up to the name, just too long for me

These boxer briefs are brand new. "But of course they are," you say, "you DID just buy them didn't you?" 

Well, yeah, I did. What I'm getting at is that they behave the way new boxer briefs will behave - they fit well, the waistband grasps my waist the way a dance partner of many years would - firmly but not tightly, the elastic leg bands likewise. They are a pleasure to wear.

But, being new, they are not entirely trustworthy. Will they sag with age? Will the elastic sigh and give up? Will the cloth begin to thin? Will the seams let go with abandon? Only time will tell. Thus the 4 stars and not 5.

A pleasing touch but unproven staying power

I’ve been buying this same Hanes underwear style for years, including the 2024 version, and unfortunately this latest batch feels noticeably different. While the cut and overall look are similar to last year’s version, the fabric is not.

The material feels significantly less soft and has an almost cardboard-like stiffness, even after a couple of washes. There’s also noticeably less stretch compared to my 2024 pairs, which makes them feel more restrictive throughout the day. They’re still wearable and hold their shape, but the comfort just isn’t there anymore.

If you’re expecting the same softness and flexibility as previous years, you may be disappointed. This feels like it may have come from a different factory or used different materials than before. I’ll still use them, but they’re clearly a step down in comfort from the earlier version I’m used to. We’ll see how well they hold up over time. Size Large purchased.

Material doesn't hold shape. Stretch was gone in one wearing.

No stretch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The underwear fit well in the waist and we're okay there but they have a seam in the bottom of the leg and it really hurt. I had to tear the seams in the leg because I couldn't even lift my leg without it hurting badly. I don't think I will get these again.

The seam in the leg is painful to move around in,

The quality of the fabric in the underwear was excellent and it was well made. However, I am 5'10" in height and these were obviously made for someone who's quite tall. I'm not happy with my purchase but if open the package and worn one pair so I guess I'm stuck with them.

There is now a seam on each side of the back that didn’t used to be there. It makes no sense to add this from a comfort standpoint. Maybe it allows them to use less material. Whatever the reason, I will look to other brands until they go back to the old stitching pattern
