This is the best dupe for the patrick starr one size oil sucker primer. This is almost identical! I do get just the slightest bit oily towards the end of the day, but no where near as bad as I had been. 10/10 do love and recommend if youre an oily person :D

I live in Southwest Florida and work at a job where I am hot all day. I quit wearing makeup to work because it would just melt off of my face. I've always liked hard candy makeup when I was younger and did not know they even made it anymore so when I saw this sweat primer, I thought I'd give it a try. WOW does it work! If you put it on after it dry, it will feel tight but once you get your foundation on, it will feel very good. Yes I still sweat, but my makeup is still on my face. It sweats through it doesn't melt it. Now I am wearing makeup to work again in the hot months of summer here in Florida.

I bought 2 products from this brand, and I loved this one! The ‘Hard Candy’ face primer in ‘Glow On Lock’ is fantastic! It applies smoothly and has a lovely gold color which goes on transparent but leaves you with a nice, subtle dewy glow. It works like a moisturizer and makeup base primer, making my makeup application effortless on top of it.

The other primer I tried was ‘Sweat On Lock,’ by the same ‘Hard Candy’ brand, which didn’t work for me at all. It left my skin feeling very dry, and as I applied my foundation, it looked like my skin was flaking. My sink was filled with flakes from both the foundation and the primer, just from trying to apply my foundation. I started with a clean face, had to wash it again, and then used the ‘Glow On Lock’ primer, which allowed my foundation to go on smoothly, as always.

The best is the ‘Glow On Lock’ primer by ‘Hard Candy.’

The worst is the ‘Sweat On Lock’ primer by ‘Hard Candy.’

This is a very good bargain actually, the quality of the product reminds me of a major makeup retailer brand and it is certainly comparable and the price is definitely better while I have once used a primer that is better quality than this however, I don't know how I would ever find it I would say this is very good quality and very good deal so that's probably the only way I am going to buy primer from now on.

I had a tiny bit of a struggle getting the desired results with Hard Candy Glow On Lock.  I found that it  felt silky smooth going on, but it remained tacky/wet for a long time.  Because of this, the primer did not really hold onto my makeup.  My makeup just sort of slid off my face.  Also, I got the "glow", which is a banana color.  I was hoping it would brighten my dark circles.  This product has a lot of frosty sparkles in it and does not look nice all over my face.   Using it all over looks like having a shining beacon on your face. I will not buy this again, because I find it easier to use ONE primer product on my face - not several for different areas AND I prefer a matte finish, not a frosty shiny face.

Not easy for ME to use....

So excited to try this out, however after doing my usual cleansing and moisturizer... I added this and carefully blended. Within a few minutes it seemed like a skin mask that could be rubbed off easily. Adding foundation on top of that made the problem worse.   Good idea, but wouldn't recommend- it will get flaky.

Doesn't blend well, peels

VERY disappointing! i love Hard Candy products,  but this primer is more of a problem than helpful.  It literally makes your foundation flake off and peels. No matter what skincare routine I do, time I allow to absorb,  or which foundation I use, it peels off. I can do the exact same regimen with any other primers %26 this doesn't happens.  So after trying different skincare %26 makeup combos I realized it was consistently the Hard Candy Primer that make my make-up peel off. Which is odd because their setting sprays are great. Needless to say, I will NOT be buying this primer ever again.

By far the WORST primer I have ever tried!! I was excited because I tend to sweat at my job but when I tried putting this on it doesn't really even run in like even just trying to put it on feels dry and you when finally get your face primed it becomes so so dry and uncomfortable.  The worst part is the flaking though. I tried putting makeup over it and instantly had to wash it all off. please don't waste your money because this is NO DUPE this is just horrible

I purchased two different products from this brand. This was the one I was eager to try because it promised all-day sweat defense. Unfortunately, it was the worst face primer I've ever used. It was thick and hard to squeeze out of the tube. Initially, it smoothed my chin pores, which felt promising. However, as I applied it to my entire face, it dried my skin instantly. When I applied my foundation, it looked like my skin was flaking off. It was actually the foundation and primer coming off, leaving my sink full of flakes. I started with a clean face, as always. The other one I bought was AMAZING! 

If you're curious about the one I disliked, it was the Hard Candy Sweat On Lock Primer. 

The one I LOVED was the Hard Candy Glow On Lock Primer.
