I live in Southwest Florida and work at a job where I am hot all day. I quit wearing makeup to work because it would just melt off of my face. I've always liked hard candy makeup when I was younger and did not know they even made it anymore so when I saw this sweat primer, I thought I'd give it a try. WOW does it work! If you put it on after it dry, it will feel tight but once you get your foundation on, it will feel very good. Yes I still sweat, but my makeup is still on my face. It sweats through it doesn't melt it. Now I am wearing makeup to work again in the hot months of summer here in Florida.

This is the best dupe for the patrick starr one size oil sucker primer. This is almost identical! I do get just the slightest bit oily towards the end of the day, but no where near as bad as I had been. 10/10 do love and recommend if youre an oily person :D

Best Dupe!

I bought 2 products from this brand, and I loved this one! The ‘Hard Candy' face primer in ‘Glow On Lock' is fantastic! It applies smoothly and has a lovely gold color which goes on transparent but leaves you with a nice, subtle dewy glow. It works like a moisturizer and makeup base primer, making my makeup application effortless on top of it.

The other primer I tried was ‘Sweat On Lock,' by the same ‘Hard Candy' brand, which didn't work for me at all. It left my skin feeling very dry, and as I applied my foundation, it looked like my skin was flaking. My sink was filled with flakes from both the foundation and the primer, just from trying to apply my foundation. I started with a clean face, had to wash it again, and then used the ‘Glow On Lock' primer, which allowed my foundation to go on smoothly, as always.

The best is the ‘Glow On Lock' primer by ‘Hard Candy.'

The worst is the ‘Sweat On Lock' primer by ‘Hard Candy.'

its a really strong primer, sweat resistant, overall highly recommend for anyone layering their foundation, layering skincare under foundation, and to avoid pilling

Used this for our trip to Mexico in the summer. I tend to be on the drier side but this kept me looking dry/not sweaty without causing any dryness. Wish I knew this product existed sooner!

Matte without Drying

Love this! I always put this on after a moisturizer %26 it's a non greasy base that makes my pores nearly invisible under foundation's. Highly recommend trying!

I heard great things about this primer, but it did not work for me. It made my skin and make-up ball up almost like an exfoliant. I had to remove everything...primer, make-up and start over. It may work differently for  other's, it was just definitely not for me.

Disappointed

By far the WORST primer I have ever tried!! I was excited because I tend to sweat at my job but when I tried putting this on it doesn't really even run in like even just trying to put it on feels dry and you when finally get your face primed it becomes so so dry and uncomfortable.  The worst part is the flaking though. I tried putting makeup over it and instantly had to wash it all off. please don't waste your money because this is NO DUPE this is just horrible

I purchased two different products from this brand. This was the one I was eager to try because it promised all-day sweat defense. Unfortunately, it was the worst face primer I've ever used. It was thick and hard to squeeze out of the tube. Initially, it smoothed my chin pores, which felt promising. However, as I applied it to my entire face, it dried my skin instantly. When I applied my foundation, it looked like my skin was flaking off. It was actually the foundation and primer coming off, leaving my sink full of flakes. I started with a clean face, as always. The other one I bought was AMAZING! 

If you're curious about the one I disliked, it was the Hard Candy Sweat On Lock Primer. 

The one I LOVED was the Hard Candy Glow On Lock Primer.

Hard Candy Face Primer

I bought this a couple of months ago but didn't try it until recently.  It goes on great.  Looks like it's going to cover pores. Feels like you finally found the perfect, inexpensive primer... until you put your foundation on.  Maybe some just wear primer and if so, maybe it will work for you.  I wear primer under my foundation so I can have a nice, smooth canvas to begin my makeup.  The minute you put on your foundation,  expect this primer to shed away.  Lots of little particles you have to brush away from your face.  Not happy at all with it.  If you want an excellent primer,  try the NYX face glue.  This stuff had to literally be swept off my floor.
