We received the hood a couple of weeks ago and installed it ourselves. The hood looks great in the kitchen, gives it a very nice and sophisticated look over the range. Operation is quite smooth and it's great to have six options for speed. Switching speed is a bit noisy, you can distinctly hear a click, but that's minor. The hood is pretty powerful at top speed and will get rid of all vapor or smoke in the kitchen. It's also great to not have to deal w/ knobs and buttons, everything is done via it's touch screen. Also great that you can remove and clean the filters right away in the sink nearby. All in all, it's a very well thought out product and you won't regret the purchase. I definitely recommend it.

First of all, this is the fastest delivery of any home appliance I ever purchased. The online discount, purchasing experience was much more easier than any other sites. The installation was straight forward and simple. The online tutorial and instructions are really helpful. Once installed, both my wife and I are amazed not only with the features and function, we are happy how the sleek and clean design worked well with our outdated kitchen. Regardless, best upgrade for us for the year.

Best home upgrade

Bought this a couple of weeks ago, installed two days ago, vented to the outside.  Super excited!!! New microwave will have a new home out of site.  I absolutely love my black stainless steel vent hood chef series. Our home is open concept and now odors and smoke are not spreading over the house.  It really does the job.  Plans for a new black stainless steel cooktop and a pot filler.  A work in progress. The vent hood was a great purchase!!!

I love doing high-heat cooking such as stir fry and steaks. However, my hood fan was not efficient so the house always smelled like food afterward, which I really dislike. After a few years, I realized it was better for my health (and sanity) to invest in a better fan. 

I had compared multiple brands before purchasing Hauselane UC-PS18 as it has the best price for the features. The fan was well-built and came with everything. The best yet, I can place the oil filters/catcher into the dishwasher which is a big bonus. 

I did the plastic cup suction test and watched the cup stick and fell from the hood with great satisfaction. Now my house no longer smells like Chinese food/steak and that makes me very happy.

I love my new fan

I bought this as part of our kitchen update. We got new countertops, and have been changing appliances to black. The old  exhaust fan was noisy.  The Hauslane matches everything and looks really good. Love the extra fan speeds that allow less noise. The touch features are great.  The installation was easy, and the instructions were easy to follow. The only problem we had is that the plug for the power cord is larger than the 1' hole that was in the instructions. We had to drop the unit and make the hole bigger. We scuffed the wall paint doing this, so will have to do a bit of touch up.

I love my new hood. It’s not as quiet as I thought it would be. It does the job however. It looks beautiful in our kitchen. I would recommend this hood to anyone needing a new hood. It is awesome if you love to cook, because then you need a great hood. My alarm hasn’t gone off since we installed it.

Best hood we ever owned!!!

I recently installed a Hauslane exhaust fan in my kitchen, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. Here’s a breakdown of my experience:

Powerful Ventilation: This fan offers excellent suction power, effectively clearing out smoke, grease, and odors in no time. My kitchen air feels much cleaner after cooking, even when I’m frying or grilling.

Sleek Design: The fan has a modern, sleek design that fits well in my kitchen. It doesn’t look bulky or out of place, adding a touch of style to the space.

Easy to Clean: Cleaning is a breeze with the removable filters, which I can easily pop out and put in the dishwasher. No more scrubbing!

Installation: While the fan itself is top-notch, I did have to spend a bit more time on installation. The instructions were clear, but it required a bit of DIY skill. I would recommend professional installation if you’re not handy.

Quiet Operation: It is definitely NOT as quiet as advertised

Overall, the Hauslane exhaust fan delivers excellent performance, style, and convenience. It’s perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen ventilation system. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended !!

We love the vent hood, it really does an awesome job.  However, we have a few suggestions:
1.  Provide a mounting template to make it easier to install.
2. Provide machine screws and locking nuts as an alternative to the huge wood screws provided.  If you mount the vent hood to the bottom of a 3/4" wood cabinet, the wood screws would stick up in to the cabinet at least 2".
3. Provide a way to either dim the clock or disable the clock display.  It is really bright at night.

Great product with a few minor suggestions

Had it installed a few wks ago. We replaced a microwave/fan with it. Significant improvement. Well made, operates flawlessly. Great to look at too.

Only drawback, it sticks out about 5" further than the microwave did, though mounted a bit higher. You have to watch you head when you are around it, cooking, cleaning, etc. My wife has already hit her head on a corner... ouch !  We will have it moved up about 4-5" and that should remedy the problem, but adds to labor and expense. We think worth it.

Range hood ruls

Beautiful and super powerful, but..., it's just too noisy. I can manage the first speed, tried different things to hold the noise down. I don't' know what more I can do or try. I will have to use on first level speed, however, can always go higher and just use earplugs.
