[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this toaster to match the stainless steel KitchenAid appliances for my kitchen remodel. It matches perfectly.  The toaster works as expected but the thing I like most is the new sound that alerts me that my toast is ready.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Biggest problem is it toasts one side of the bread much more than the other side ( practically nothing but warms it). My work around is I put the setting on #1, toast one side, then flip and do the same on the other side. Works well, but why should I have to do that?

Found a Work Around

I purchased the 2-slice manual toaster (Model KMT2115), and we really like it, except we have had to buy 3 replacement handles for the manual mechanism because they keep breaking or falling off. I have spent half the original cost of the toaster just replacing the handle. I like it enough to consider buying it again, but not until I find out whether they've updated how the handle is attached.

FRUSTRATING

This toaster, probably by design, only really browns one side of the bread. Bought this especially for home made wheat bread and thought it would do both sides. Possibly all toasters do this now. I haven't bought a new one in decades. If this is what you would like, it is the famous Kitchen-Aid quality.

seem kind of rickety. It is also slow to toast unless you turn it on high and then you have
to watch it to keep it from burning.

Takes 5 minutes to toast. One side burns while the other is too light. The coils take 3 minutes to turn red. I expected better for the price.

Not effective

Wish we had read the reviews before purchasing. All the negative reviews are the same: BURNS TOAST ON LOW SETTINGS, ALSO UNEVEN TOASTING. We have the same problem, Quality control please, this is ongoing problem for quite some time. What are you doing Kitchen Aid? Why do you continue to ship this product? DO NOT BUY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 69 years old and have owned numerous toaster and have to say this by far is the worst toaster I have ever used. Reason is that it's the only toaster I have owned that it's toasts both side at different temperatures. One side is too dark, other side too light. If I put a slice of white bread in and move it past the lowest setting 1 it's burnt on one side. Only usable on setting #1, the rest are worthless. Seriously considering buying another brand and using this one only for an emergency.
