So  far great  I had one for years before handle broke tried a different  Brand  and  ended up  getting  a  new kitchenaid

This is all you need, wide enough for bagels, heat setting that works and you don't have to toast twice.
Power cord is just fine and long enough. did not even coiled it all out. If you limit yourself to features that you really need, there is less chance of something going wrong / not working one day anymore.
I would recommend this toaster ! 
(and you get a chance to not buy everything at the one Retailer AMAZON. Their might may be becoming scary one day, ... if it is not already)

Toaster to be happy with.

This toaster is worth every penny. It really lives up to the KitchenAid name.  Sturdy, works well.  The toast slots are generous enough to accommodate the fluffiest bagel or slice of homemade bread.

Great toaster

We are very pleased with this toaster, basic but that is what we wanted.  Kitchen Aid appliances has been in our kitchen for years and has been a good product.

Its a nice heavy toaster like they used to make in the old days I was not  expecting it to be  with the way crap is made today..  its a little high priced but its very well made 
The only thing I don't like is the Toast cook adjuster... there is no in-between you have to set it on the setting they give you the way its is Made you cant set it any different then there setting already on  the toaster 
for me it is  too light or to dark  it beeps when toast are done  I have not tried bagels in it yet but im sure it will work just fine if it was not for the Toast cook adjustment would have gave it 5 Stars all the way   you may be ok with it   you might like your toast cooked that way

Its a nice toaster like they made in the old days

This toaster, probably by design, only really browns one side of the bread. Bought this especially for home made wheat bread and thought it would do both sides. Possibly all toasters do this now. I haven't bought a new one in decades. If this is what you would like, it is the famous Kitchen-Aid quality.

Somewhat disappointed.

I wanted to like this, so I ignored the ratings that reported poor for performance. But yeah, the way this toaster is built is very flimsy — not like the 4 slice version I previously had. And it toasts / burns very unevenly :(

Flimsy %26 poor performance

Less than a year 9 months doesn't work

Not happy with this toaster. One side of bread get too dark shed even set on number 1. And it burn on shed number 2. Need to return.

Not satisfied

Do not buy this toaster, it's garbage.  I had a similar toaster from kitchen aide for years. It wasn't toasting evenly anymore so I replaced it with this one.  You would think a company like this could master the most basic kitchen appliance. It either burns one side or the other,  doesn't toast one or the other at all,  bagel function has zero affect.  You never know what it's going to do,  not toast at all,  toast one side only ( while not on bagel), or burn one side to a crisp. It's a complete waste of money.
