I primarily use it for breakfast smoothies/protein shakes, but can be used for many purposes. Design is good as is the build. Seems like a quality built machine, which is made in the U.S.A.

Received this as a gift and it has been great to use! Compact size and really enjoy the personal cups that I can blend in, so don't have to get multiple items dirty when making a single serving smoothie.

Great Blender and Useful Add-ons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well. Easy to use. Sleek and beautiful design...but after a few months I started smelling motor burn every time I  used it and a couple months larer the blade broke apart from the bottom of the jar!!...& oh yeah it is loud!!

Luckily I was still within the warranty year, so I have upgraded to the K400. I still smell the motor burn every time I use it. So the jury is still out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Kitchen Aid appliances.  I thilnk the quality is superior.  Unfortunately, the blender started smoking after two uses.  I turned the blender on slowly to the 3rd level with protein powder and water in one of the smaller containers.  I had the protein drink blending for 2 minutes.  The blender started to smell like smoke, then actually started smoking.  When I took the blender container from the blender base, there was smoke coming from the gears and from the blade.  I was so disappointed.  The blender looks beatuiful, but I assume I cannot use the 3rd setting.  I have used it again but only used the first setting which did not smoke.

I have owned one of these blenders before and it worked great. I gave it to my daughter so I purchased  a second one.  It worked great for five uses and then stopped working. I will return it and purchase the same one again… I'm hoping I just got a lemon this time and the next one will be just as great as my first blender.

The blender has plastic pitcher/cups (I guess I didn't read the description) I used the pitcher and it worked but didn't seem too powerful, but it did the job. The second time I used the cup and the blades completely  fell apart. The base got wet and it no longer worked, after 2 uses . This product is poor quality especially for this price point

I had really high hopes for this blender. I love the idea of the personal blender jars. However, the base adapter used with the blender jars broke after just a few uses. Extremely poor quality far below what I would expect from Kitchen Aid. Would not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchase this blender and use it every day to make nutritious smoothies (I have recently been diagnosed with MS and am taking better care of my health).  Unfortunately it had already stopped working.  I'm very disappointed.

Terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a KitchenAid blender (I think it was the 7-speed model) with the K150 after the blade broke out of the base.  Now I wish I had just looked for a replacement jar, because this model has so little power.  If a recipe called for a high-speed blender, the 7-speed handled it, no problem.  At first I thought it was just not as good with things requiring a heavy duty blender.  Soaked cashews, for example, took forever.  But it doesn't seem to matter what's being blended, it always takes much more time to puree than the older model.  Today I blended a box of tofu with a can of beans and you would think it could handle it easily, but no. Next time I'll invest in a Vitamix.
