This base/primer is my go to bc being white, I can see how much is applied; does a great job for me! The brush tends to smooth out quick, but still manageable!

Advertisers are always trying to sell you something new they have improved it. So you sold me something that was bad to begin with and you had to make it better. I fall for this sometimes but then at the end I always go back to the same old thing that I was happy with. I have been happy with this for years.

The L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Base Mascara Primer, White. I have been using it for almost 3 years now, and it makes a big difference when applying the mascara. a must have, love it. 

1. It lasts a long time. Will not dry out if one is not rapidly going back and forth with the wand so fast, allowing for air to get into the mascara primer tub, so it doesn't dry out, is key. 
2. Gives eyelashes lots of volume and length. 
3. Nice full brush bristles wand, to catch every eyelash one has.
4. There's no flaking or clumping, which works for me.
5.  The price is a little high, but so is everything else nowadays, so I budget for it because it works so well with the mascara  I use. :)

Great Product

This is my favorite mascara. I have tried so many. High priced and low and in between. None that I have ever tried holds up to this one. It makes my lashes look thicker and longer. It doesn't clump up. If I had to choose only one item of makeup to wear everyday. It would be this one.

Best of all I have used

This seems to nourish my dry eyelashes and it REALLY pumps up the volume of the mascara you apply over this primer.  I usually put the primer on before other makeup to allow to dry a bit on my eyelashes and then add mascara at the end of my makeup routine.

yes, the extra step is worth it!

I've been using this mascara for decades. It's simply the best. Soft, full lashes every time. No crunch, no clumping. If you have oily skin or will be sweating, I recommend the waterproof version.

I love this mascara! I put it on easily- it is volumizing and lengthening. I do go through it once with a spoolie for extra separation if doing a separate coat but it's not really necessary. It lasts a long time without any smearing.

This is the only mascara I use for the last 10 years. It perfect for thin lashes, wont irritate contact lenses, the bristle brush separates lashes perfectly making them plump and full.

Beat the wet possum look with this mascara

I had to substitute this for a mascara I've been using for years that I can barely find anymore. The bristle brush is too thick for my liking and too much product gets onto the brush… I end up have to dab the wand into a paper towel to get some of the product off in order to avoid spider lashes and or clumps.. I feel it's just a waste of product. It doesn't give me any definition to my lashes. After whipping off basically most of the product from the wand I can get a nice coat on my lashes and the plum brown looks nice. 
If you're trying to avoid spider lashes and clumps I would avoid buying this product.

It's like this does nothing to show my lashes. I bought it for a wedding and I ended up taking it off and using my regular mascara because you could barely tell I had on mascara. It was a waste of money.
