<b>Liquid Rubber Polyurethane Smooth Deck Coating</b> forms a hard yet flexible, single-component, protective membrane that combines specific polyurethane and acrylic polymers. This easy to apply, ultra-low VOC coating can be used to protect decks, docks, outdoor walkways, floors, and much more. Given the cured membrane's superior strength, waterproof properties, and high adhesion to most substrates, Liquid Rubber's Polyurethane Deck Coating is an ideal solution for indoor and outdoor, and hot and cold environments. This high tensile coating is designed for multiple surfaces including wood, concrete, and metal and should be applied 3-4 coats. <p><b>Application:</b><br />Can be applied using a brush, roller, or single component sprayer to provide a seamless and fully adhered membrane to most substrates. <br />Ensure a clean, dry surface and use Liquid Rubber Deck and Patio Cleaner. Fill gaps, seams, and screw holes with a high quality wood filler.<br /> Apply minimum thickness of 1 gallon/40 sq ft (3.7 sq m). It should require 3-4 heavy coats. High traffic areas require 1 gallon/30 sq ft (2.8 sq m). For larger areas, pour onto surface and roll.<br />Apply the next coat as soon as possible, not allowing extended time between if possible. Ensure coating is dry to the touch with no uncured material underneath before moving on to the next coat.<br />Avoid hot, direct sunlight during application and apply about 10C/50F. Remove painters tape while still wet.</p><p><b>Drying Time:</b><br />At 25C/77F and 50% relative humidity, fully cures in 72 hours at 1mm. Has a smooth, glossy finish with a nice color.

Application is straightforward and quick.

Time will tell, but after two weeks the coating is looking really good on my previously stained concrete patio. Previous acrylic stains were unsatisfactory and I had to do a lot of prep work to remove loose stain, and sand and prime. I'm very satisfied with the Liquid Rubber coating (I purchased Smooth Neutral Beige). Not slippery, which is great. And it appears to be a good, tough coat. The website didn't have much to say about using this product over a previously stained patio, but I'm glad I took the risk and went ahead with the purchase, as it appears to be far superior to acrylic stain and it doesn't have the undesirable gloss of epoxy paint.

This looks like it is going to be a good product.  Followed the instructions as closely as possibly, including using the multipurpose primer.  Using a 10mm roller, on a surface of about 160sq ft., I did 6 coats and have just under a gallon left.  The only thing left is to wait and see how it holds up over the next few years.

Textured Deck Coating - White

So far so good.  Great support from the rep I called regarding the type of coating I should use and how to use it.  Looks great with only 2 coats on so far.  Should continue to improve the appearance and durability as we apply more layers.  Seems very tough.

Product was very easy to apply, good drying time. Used as an alternative to other products which were extremely costly for the application. Completed 4 coats on my cabin deck. Looks like it will be a great product to stand up to winter conditions here in the North. Very happy with the result so far.

Very Pleased! Great Product!

This is the second time that I have ordered your product.  I rebuilt/refinished my deck, 6 years ago.  98% of the coating remains in excellent shape.  There are a few spots that need to be re-primed and re-painted.  This product is the best on the market!

Polyurethane Deck Coating

Have a old deck that looks better now then when it was new. Had some issues with my first shipment and Liquid Rubber went above & beyond to fix the issue.

Great Stuff

Got the textired coating . Did 2 coatsthe first day and coat a day for total of 4 coats .Turned out great and super grip . Great product would recommend it. If it was easy for me at 80 it should be easy-to-use for anyone.....

Got my deck back

I would have given 5 stars but this particular model of liquid rubber is the "texture" which makes it non-slip but is very aggressive almost rough which will last longer but maybe a little rough on bare feet I did use a light sanding when dry with a drywall screen type paper on a pole which smoothed it out making it less rough it  is been used on a pontoon boat deck and it went on very thick great coverage needed at least 2 coats  because plywood surface was very dry and I did use their primer which is very watery but provides a great seal coat an 18ft Bass buggy no real furniture- couches or long seats Price was ok and shipping was very quick Texas to Arizona  see how long it lasts

I bought both the smooth and the grit type of deck coating for my 50 sq ft terrace.  I purchased 1G of smooth and 1G of grit polyurethane.  I applied 3 coats of smooth, followed by 2 coats of grit polyurethane material.

The smooth is nicer to walk on and is easier to give a consistent finish without roller marks.

The grit covers better but and with enough coats I was almost able to make the seams disappear.  Another coat or 2 and they would have.  The grit is very gritty.  It is walkable in bare feet, but not nearly as comfortable as the smooth.

When I need to do the same to my next deck, I'll do 3 coats smooth, followed by 3-4 coats of grit.

My project turned out great and will be buying more when I build my larger front porch and terrace next year.

I have applied 4 coats of liquid rubber on my front deck. It's very thick and a little hard to get an even spread. Hence the 4 coats, now it looks good. I have one warning for purchasers of the textured LR
I applied to my front deck and wanted the texture as to not slip, we like to walk bare foot. However, the texture is very strong and is a bit uncomfortable on bare feet.
I am sure this will function really well under wet conditions with any kind of footware!
