Smaller than I thought it would be but that's my fault for not first finding out how to measure a pan. The 6.5 inches is measured at outer top edges of the pan. The actual cooking surface is only 5 inches.
Not complaining though since it just adds to my collection of cast-iron pans and I'll order the next size up another time. 
Good for a couple eggs and other small things.

Good little pan

Lodge is the only cast iron I will buy since the older generation of cast iron if not past down thru the families is gone, it's hard to find great cast iron. Not anymore! Lodge came  heavy, pre seasoned, high heat means open fires, corn bread not sticking , you name it and it will be passed down for generations! Thank you Lodge for keeping a great tradition company and Values up! Southern cooks depend on Cast Iron ( Quality)

Bought this little sucka because my non-stick skillet was cooking the edges of the burger (both salmon and turkey) more than the middle.  Cast iron skillets are renowned for - and this one does give - equal heat distribution across the entire surface, no hot spot.  And at lower heat.  Perfect size for one 4 oz patty.  Surface is slightly pebbled.  Nice weight.  Very pleased.  Highly recommend.

Very Pleased

Just leave it on the stove top, with olive oil in it, then turn to high heat for a few minutes, then crack the egg into it, cover it wait flip take out and enjoy.  The pan stayed clean so add a few drops of olive oil and use again tomorrow.  Use Eculution lid sold by Walmart.

My breakfast egg pan

I needed a smaller cornbread skillet. The one I was using is the size larger %26 I was always throwing out leftover cornbread that I didn't freeze for stuffing. I found this 1 size smaller skillet and it's the perfect size for 1 or 2 people.  It does say that it is pre-seasoned. But my 1st batch of cornbread did stick. But after I seasoned it once myself, it falls right out now.

Best iron skillet for 1 or 2 people

This Lodge 6.25” pan is just the right size and weight for me to use and perfect for cooking eggs over easy. The label includes instructions for cleaning and storing which helps to understand how to take good care of it. Lodge is a well known and highly regarded brand for cast iron cookware, I'm grateful that Walmart carries a variety of their products in store.

This skillet is perfect for making a half-recipe of corn bread. I have a small family and the small size is perfect and meets my needs to a T. In my opinion, Lodge is the premiere cast iron company and it is American made--another bonus. This skillet is dedicated to making only corn bread and I expect that it will outlive me.

A Tiny Gem

This little cast iron pan is really good size for cooking for one person.  I like to cook scrambled eggs, burger, pork chops in it, it is used daily.   It heats up very quickly and is a great way to get more iron into my diet.  It will go on camping trips too.

Great little cast iron pan for cooking for one

I am single so this is the perfect size skillet for my breakfast for 1. The pre-seasoned feature is helpful but not the same as the non-stick chemical surfaces we have grown accustomed to. The pre-seasoning never scratches off and the non-stick surface dramatically improves over the first 10 uses.

The quality is there because it's a Lodge cast iron, but this pan is TINY.  It was my mistake, I admit, but was kinda shocked when I received it. Might be good for an egg but you can't use it to fry anything - it is just way too small. I returned it with no problems and will get a bigger size.

Good Quality, TINY Size

Very strong smell!  No matter how many times I scrub and reseason, this skillet has a strong order and leaves a black film on dish rags when you dry. Food has a brassy taste.  It's nothing like the cast iron I've had in the past.
